We stayed here for the Easter holidays (3 nights) and it was very nice! The place is perfect if you are traveling by car and want to explore the Netherlands, including Amsterdam - everything is very close. The room (better to say apartment) was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Lisette was super nice and breakfasts were very geneours and delicious. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this B&B to our friends.

Interesting historic centre, pedestrianised.

Interesting historic centre, pedestrianised. Focus for excellent cycling in 'The Green Heart'. Lots of choice for places to eat out. Satnav does not appreciate one way system and pedestrian zones so don't use it to access a specific building. Cycle routes out of the city not very inspiring for the first km or so.

service tray wasn't up to standard paper cups mean tea bags (into paper cups)Yuk? gentleman on reception very helpful thanks to this gentleman bag tea exchanged for b/tea ,breakfast room although large was so crowded not very organised sloppy cerial 1 of no choice sadly could have been better organised people running everywhere no routine selection average of b/food sadly we hated writing up this over/all of this beautifully placed hotel and free parking as standard paying what we paid was far from reasonable 170euro's 1 nite sadly wont stay there again but to those whom helped whist we were in there care E.G. gentleman helpful and nice attitude james williams.thanks to all concerned

Beautiful town with the town centre being easily accessible...

Beautiful town with the town centre being easily accessible by foot from the hotel within 5 minutes. Woerden has a lot of history with Roman artefacts being found in the town centre. I would have like to have seen more of the places to visit, the Castle, Churches, Stadhouse/Museum, Jewish Monument have more information in English displayed. There was information in Nederlandse but sadly I could not read it.

Great location, but directions for arriving by car are missing. The hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, and we spent a while looking for a suitable parking space. The hotel itself was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. The restaurant menu was varied, and the food was delicious.

A charming fortified town, perfect for a day of hiking, and other villages and towns are easily accessible from Woerden. Excellent terraces and restaurants. There are many beautiful places in the Netherlands, and Woerden is one of them.

Woerden is a very old town with a rich history dating back to the Romans, who established a military fortification there along the Limes, the defensive line on the northern border of the empire. Woerden is steeped in history, which gives it great charm. Highly recommended for a stay of 2-3 days.

The hotel was beautiful - very nice bedroom full of character, comfy bed and shower. Coffee machine. TV with one or two English channels. Downstairs the bar and restaurant area is very smart and well laid out. Food is pretty good and it's an enjoyable place to relax. The hotel is well located - you can walk to the town in just a few minutes, and the train station is a 10-15 minute walk. There's a market (weekly I think) that takes place in the square just next to the hotel.

The room was quiet and clean, and the bed was super comfy. I had a room overlooking the canal, which also had a large bathtub; both were bonuses! When I checked in, the evening staff was super friendly. When I left, the morning staff was a little grumpy, but nothing too bad—it just goes to show how much a staff member can influence a traveler's impression of a hotel! Walking distance to the train station and town center.

Smack in the center of the old town, with a wonderful outdoor cafe on the square, surrounded by other cafés and a pretty church. The hotel has the feel of a castle but modern. The room was spacious and very beautiful, the furniture very comfortable, the room tastefully decorated,, and it had all the comforts.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Loved all the wood and the interior designs. Restaurant area fabulous. Lovely to be able to see chefs cooking. Hired electric bikes from the hotel, saw some incredible scenery.
