Great little place with a host who really makes you feel welcome. Gave good advise to the city and where to have dinner. I was there a monday, so quite a few restaurants was closed, but he pointed out the ones that was opened and gave recommendations which I followed and did not regret. Breakfast was fantastic and I wish I could have stayed a few days more.

We visited this little charming Hotel for a short break. We really were surprised with how much attention to detail this Villa was eqipped. The Ludiek Eten Slapen is an exceptional hotel. This lovely hotel is situated in a beautiful little town, and we found it to be a real gem. The staff were fantastic, the room amazing and had a beautiful view over the Dutch countryside. The outside tented area was excellent along with the service, from start to finish. Great care is taken in all aspects of this superb hotel. The breakfast is worth the price alone. Tips: - For a lovely evening meal with a good atmosphere, try the Café Restaurant ‘t Knooppunt. It’s a 5 minute walk away. - After your breakfast, a stroll into the village is very much recommended.

It's not a bad little town.

It's not a bad little town. Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti. I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

Steenwijk is a charming town.

Steenwijk is a charming town. It's centrally located in an area with many opportunities to enjoy nature. There's also a beautiful villa, Rams Woerthe, and the Hildo Krop Museum inside it. Both are highly recommended. Be sure to stroll through the park near the villa.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn. The town center is also pleasant, with plenty of opportunities for a cozy terrace or a delicious lunch or dinner. Rams Woerthe, with its beautiful park garden, is well worth a visit, and the Nettelbosch city garden is also a lovely place for a stroll.

Cozy. Quiet village. All the streets look neat. Pleasant village square with restaurants and cafes. The host recommended eating at "De Opschepper" in Steenwijk. It was very tasty and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this bistro.

Steenwijk is a charming town with plenty of sights nearby, including Giethoorn, dolmens, and forests. Steenwijk boasts charming restaurants and lively pubs. It offers peace and quiet, yet also plenty of entertainment. We enjoyed a delicious meal at De Opschipper. Afterwards, we went into town and ended up at Café Het Pantje, which was very welcoming.

Because I was able to leave later than expected, I was allowed to stay in my room after checkout time (11 a.m.). This was despite the fact that, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had checked in much too late the day before. Very kind! I was only there briefly, so I don't have any recommendations.

B&B De Stadssingel is a beautifully restored property and a true delight to stay in. Jaap is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who has created a space that’s both elegant and inviting. Our room had an exquisite garden view, a striking piece of artwork that added a lovely touch, and divine bathroom products that made it feel like an exclusive boutique hotel. The breakfast was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We also really appreciated the secure bicycle parking. A standout experience from start to finish.

Great location and very accommodating staff. it’s a small hotel at the edge of the city and it was quiet considering the motorway was very close by. loved that we could control our own airco temperature. Also the restaurant recommendation for both ordering food in and also to eat at the city were a very nice touch.
