The beautiful surroundings and the Vecht and Regge rivers...

The beautiful surroundings and the Vecht and Regge rivers are particularly stunning and peaceful in the early or late season. The town itself is quite touristy, but a cup of coffee on the church square is highly recommended. The two small museums are also worth a visit.

Ommen's town center isn't much to look at, but it does have...

Ommen's town center isn't much to look at, but it does have a small square with terraces. Unfortunately, the view of the Vecht River has now disappeared behind the new buildings. If you cross the bridge towards the station, you'll soon find yourself in a more attractive area, with a lovely park including a petting zoo. You can also enter the woods to the forestry office, where you can enjoy lovely walks and bike rides.

We were only in Ommen on our way from Giethoorn to Slagharen...

We were only in Ommen on our way from Giethoorn to Slagharen. So, our destination wasn't Ommen. Still, I'd definitely come back sometime. We walked a bit from our hotel towards the town center and had a drink along the Vecht River while our kids played on a bouncy castle. We concluded it's a pretty nice town (with a good ice cream parlor).

Ommen is a charming town with a pleasant town center and charming terraces and shops. You can enjoy lovely walks along the Vecht River or in the woods bordering Ommen. Ommen also lies on the Vecht River, offering a wealth of activities.

Beautiful historic building in a convenient location close to Ommen, in the stunning Vechtdal. The staff were super helpful and friendly. My daughter (10) has coeliac and they did their utmost to accommodate us. My daughter was so happy, she often feels excluded.

Right next to the train station. Very quiet. Clean room with newly refurbished bathroom. Decent breakfast selection. Staff very friendly and helpful. 20 mins walk to the centre of Ommen. Everything was ideal for the purposes of my trip.
