The hotel has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere surrounded by beautiful woodland. It really feels like a peaceful retreat.. Our room was clean, cosy and full of character with a lovely view of the gardens. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh options and a lovely setting overlooking the gardens. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a memorable experience, the kind of place that makes you want to come back for a longer stay next time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly hotel with real Dutch charm.

We received a very warm welcome and got a detailed explanation of the room right away. Breakfast was excellent – especially the fact that you can get an egg cooked exactly the way you like every day. The location is decent for Defqon, and Zwolle train station is super easy to reach. The hotel is located right by the shopping street, which is perfect for grabbing a snack or doing some shopping. We also really enjoyed the beautiful koi pond in the garden, which we admired every day because we love fish. Highly recommended for Defqon visitors! Definitely use the taxi driver recommended by the host – that was a real insider tip!

I spent a night in this accommodation with a friend of mine and our two dogs. It was very clean and everything needed was there. Around this area there are many possibilities to go for a walk with your dog. The outdoor area in front of the accommodation invites you to breakfast outside or enjoy the sun. The owners are extremely nice. I would come back :-)

With the information provided by the owners, it was very easy to reach the chalet. It had a lot of space around for leisure and activities. Unfortunately we had just one night else we would have loved to stay further. Everything inside was well furnished and almost clean. Few bugs but then you are in a forest chalet.. ;)

The property is very near the lake, so if you’re into fishing, Keet is your man - he has a wealth of knowledge about fishing in the area and is willing to freely share it with you. You are also within and easy bicycle ride to town so shopping is nearby. Ingrid has some lovely homemade jams for sale too - good on warm toast!!

I loved the area, and I want to come back in the Spring/...

I loved the area, and I want to come back in the Spring/Summer to enjoy nature more since one of the days of our trip rained the whole day. We rented a bike for the day at the visitor centre and went on a 30km bike ride. Make sure to check where to stop because everything on our route was closed but we took a small detour and had lunch at Brasserie Staverden and it was beautiful.

The location is just gorgeous, it felt like being in the middle of a forest. The receptionists were lovely and very welcoming. It's a very nice, beautiful hotel. Parking is free. Breakfast was quite varied and delicious, again the staff were friendly. The room for 3 was alright, I felt the bed was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.

The breakfast was really good, nice fresh hot eggs and bacon, and a great selection of fruits, cereals, breads and drinks. The cabin was a great option, very private, but with the use of the hotel a very short walk. Would definitely stay again.
