Lovely family business in Velden with convenient distance to Venlo. Very pleasant stay in cosy room just above stylish sport bar but still very quiet though. Excellent service and breakfast. The option of restaurant meal next door for dinner. Really nothing you could complain about, recommended.

The guesthouse was lovely, I really enjoyed the food in the restaurant with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly. There’s beautiful scenery and lovely walks. There is a lot of wildlife to see in the area with lakes and a small beach. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway with nature walks and good food I would recommend Horst.

We booked for Parookaville; the drive took about 30 minutes,...

We booked for Parookaville; the drive took about 30 minutes, the road was quite winding but okay. The hostel is nicely situated in a green area. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast could have been a bit more substantial, but that's really nitpicking. In the end, we lacked nothing. We would gladly recommend it!

We were at the festival in Weeze, 20km from the hotel, so...

We were at the festival in Weeze, 20km from the hotel, so the location was perfect for us. There's also a supermarket not far from the hotel. Overall, the location is ideal. The hotel also has a pool and a sauna; of course, the facilities could have been a bit nicer, but it's fine for the price.

The region's natural beauty is breathtaking, and the towns are charming. The weather wasn't always great, but you can't help that. We visited the castle gardens in Arcen, Venlo, and Venray. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel in those towns.

Beautiful location with excellent facilities, however, overdue maintenance is noticeable, and the guest experience is poor due to the relatively inattentive staff (mostly private conversations), the restaurant is expensive but more luxurious - the classic burger was missing from the menu. The lack of maintenance, the wellness and guest experience due to the staff's service will make me choose a different hotel next time.

We'd been to the Hostellerie once before, but only on a...

We'd been to the Hostellerie once before, but only on a short trip. This time, we had a better look at the charming village. There's plenty to do, plenty of restaurants and cafes (Liesbet's is excellent), lots of shops, and beautiful surroundings. We visited the castle gardens of Arcen and the next day went on a 50 km bike ride through the Peel region. Surprisingly enjoyable.

As someone deeply attuned to the intricate nuances of the hospitality sector, I pay meticulous attention to every aspect of a space and its environment. From the rooms to the staff, the restaurant, the garden, the location, and the overall architectural design, everything was truly exceptional! Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the beer they brew.

Parkhotel Horst exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, it deserves five stars, not four. The staff is polite and attentive, the service is excellent, and the food in the restaurant is both delicious and elegantly presented. Dining with a view of the lake is a real treat. The bed was large and very comfortable, and I appreciated the high-quality Rituals toiletries.

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful views and setting Very comfy bed Good air con Good shower Nice swimming pool No fridge in room but there was a shared one. They are clearly upgrading things but most appeared to be done already, will be back
