Great hotel. Very clean. Helpful polite nice staff. The lady at the reception found a solution immediately to move us to the room with a bath. Very comfy beds. You have everything at the room. Just perfect. Will come back. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay at Hotel de Magneet . Hoorn is a charming city and a very convenient location for exploring Old Holland, The Zuiderzee Museum and is also very close to Amsterdam by bus or train. The modern hotel is located a short walk to the bus and train station . The room was located in the garden and was quiet, clean and comfortable . The bathroom was very clean with a bath and all amenities. The included breakfast was extensive with both hot and cold options . It was served buffet style in a newly renovated and sunny restaurant area. The room also had a kettle and a TV. The owners were very helpful with recommendations and always on hand to answer any questions. There are lots of cafes and restaurants close by in the main square and the harbour.

The stay was great! Looking at the pictures on booking.com, I haven't expected the hotel to be this good. The room was spacious. They provided almost all the stuff one might need. Eg: soap, shampoo, moisturizer like most hotels, and on top of that shoe shine brush, body scrub, a variety of tea options, and a decent breakfast in the morning.

Enkhuisen was by far, our favourite place in the Netherlands. Beautiful, peaceful, uncrowded and authentic. Everything is within walking distance. We took the steamtram and boat for a leisurely, fun and historic journey to the town - (Keep your luggage to a minimum if bringing eg store big bags at Amsterdam Centraal, Sloterdijk storage is unreliable) Families with young kids thoroughly enjoyed the fun activities along the way as did we (an older couple). In addition to wonderful walks, Enkhuisen the town has the best museum (Zuiderzee) - a living, breathing historic collection of homes and businesses dating back around a hundred years ago showing what life was like back then for the fishing community before the dike wall changed their way of life completely. A fascinating, absorbing trip through time. So much to see and do. Now, the accommodation: Absolutely wonderful, our hosts Ellen and Dirk, could not have been more helpful and kind. They did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. And the accommodation itself was an utter delight - spacious, comfortable bed, great shower, gorgeous view out over the canal and awesome breakfast choices. We would encourage everyone to come here to experience the best of the Netherlands. We would love to come again.
