The pod was situated with a garden view near the river. The birdsong in a morning is phenomenal! The pod is enchanting, it smells of new wood and is very cosy. My hosts were amazing people, very friendly and they’ve put a lot of thought and effort into making the pod warm, comfortable and welcoming. I slept very well thanks to the comfortable bed, peaceful location and the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was just what you need on holiday - warm bread rolls, fresh ham and cheese, egg, yogurt and fruit. Everything was perfect. In fact, this is the perfect pod!

I stayed in the place 6 days with the family and 2 days alone, in total 8 days. I liked everything, the staff welcoming you warmly and friendly, and helping you with anything needed. You can cook your own food, using the kitchen ,use the common space and living room and inside open garden and share time with others seeing tv, or you can stay private on your own in your room. This place fits very good both for those traveling alone or with family, the nature nearby is very nice, with a lot of green, trees with fruits and berries, and different animal to see nearby. You have a lake with a beach to use nearby, in a very friendly neiborhood. People are nice and everyone you meet says hei to you. Definitely a place to recommend others:-)

I had a wonderful stay in Ineke's garden huis. Was cute and cozy. Had everything I needed. I was in Hoogeveen for a competition and this was my little Oasis to prepare for it in completely peace and quiet. The night I arrived it was super stormy and raining and the garden house remained warm and dry. Was also a convenient quick 15 min walk into town. Bed was comfortable, shower was great and kitchen had the equipment I needed. Ineke was super flexible with my plans as they were in a bit of a flux. She also served a delicious breakfast which was hotel quality, everything I needed! Ineke thank you for the wonderful stay!

Very nice, pretty, quiet and clean apartment with all the needed amenities. The location is perfect, close to the train station, a supermarket and a big shopping street with nice restaurants. The external heater was a very good addition as the apartment was a bit cold in the beginning. The pillows and blankets were great. Helpful owner and very easy check in and check out. Would stay again!

The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is extremely comfortable. Food is delicious, plus a great breakfast. Great size swimming pool and sauna. Lovely location with plenty of walks. And conveniently situated for public bus transport to nearby towns. I plan to return for longer next time.

Ineke is a fabulous host. She's friendly, helpful and kind. We were there to do parkrun but also got to see more of the area due to Ineke's generosity. She helped us make alternative plans when NS cancelled all their train services and dropped us at the (bus) station which saved us from getting wet again. Ineke's place was comfortable for our two night stay in Hoogeveen and is conveniently located a short distance from parkrun. It was lovely to sit in her garden and enjoy the sun when it made an appearance.
