Superb studio accommodation with everything provided in the well appointed kitchen for those (like me) that prefer to self-cater. The cottage is adorable, very cute and homely, nice modern/clean facilities and a working fire. Couldn't have asked for anything more! The hot tub was also amazing, really the cherry on top of a great property. The check-in was very easy and there are some adorable and very friendly dogs that wonder the property!

In the middle of the nature reserves buursezand witteveen...

In the middle of the nature reserves buursezand witteveen haaksbergerveen and lankheet it is beautiful to walk, cycle and drive. In haaksbergen itself there are all facilities for whatever you need and even our gym has a branch here. Nice terraces and restaurants in haaksbergen which we also made full use of. Highly recommended.

We used the hotel as a stop over on our outward and return journey home. The staff were fantastic. Location was absolutely stunning. Next to a stud so we also got to watch the mares and foals being brought in from the fields. Food was excellent for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Beds comfortable, rooms were huge and beautiful. Breakfast was fabulous. So dog friendly they even have a dog menu if you need it and location was fantastic for walking them. Would absolutely stay here again. We all loved it and were sad too leave!

Beautiful authentic environment. The hotel & restaurant are part of an old watermill and "boerenhoeve". Personal and kind approach by the staff, great lunch and diner menu and also the breakfast was tasteful, The, only 5, hotel rooms are complete and warm. We want to return in the Spring.

This was an unexpected gem of a hotel. It's a little off the beaten path but is very historic and interesting (which we like). The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was superb! The chef's choice (3 course dinner) was fabulous.

My short stay at de Watermölle has been nothing short of amazing thanks to the wonderful and gracious staff at the hotel. A quaint and charming place, and might I add a quintessentialy picturesque Dutch accommodation.
