The cabin was perfect for its location, after weeks staying in cities it was so refreshing to be right next door to the Veluwe, and in a wooden cabin was perfect. Friendly, clean and cute. Lots of contact with people coming and going and the locals walking their dogs. Tennis and Padel courts are part of the site, good bar and outdoor area to sit and relax. BYO plates, cups and cutlery to the cabin if you plan eating there. Small fridge, no set up for own cooking. Tea and coffee ok.

We were visiting, from all corners of the world, for a family reunion. Hotel het Oude Post Kantoor was the perfect place for us to relax, regroup, and be together. We booked the entire property for our stay, which felt like such a luxury. The owners were extremely accommodating of our fluctuating arrival time and variety of guests (and requests). We truly felt at home! Breakfast was delicious, and everyone was very helpful. Great location- walking distance to all, and simple beautiful to just walk around. Thanks for an excellent stay!

I was in Dieren for 3 months, 2 of the 3 months I was alone...

I was in Dieren for 3 months, 2 of the 3 months I was alone as my husband was working in Asia. Dieren is safe and super easy to get around. I used the train to get to Utrecht and Schipol. I took the bus to get to Doesburg and to Arnhem and I walked to De Steeg. Once my husband arrived we hired a car to gallavant around together. The whole area is magnificent, safe, gentle and populated by the best kind of people. We loved going to De Steeg, Middachten Castle, Hoge Veluwe National Park, shopping at Il Fienile, Doesburg, De Waag, Hof te Dieren for walks and to the vineyard Domein Hof te Dieren for some organic wine tasting, we ate at too many great places to mention and walked the entire area flat. We shopped, we thrifted, we browsed - the list of things to do for young and old is impressive. Dieren is in the heart of a magnificent corner in the Netherlands. Paradise for cyclists, walkers, hikers, dog lovers and anyone who has the opportunity to get there. I will be back. I left a big part of my heart in the Gelderland.

While there's not much of interest in Dieren, it is only one...

While there's not much of interest in Dieren, it is only one short train stop (or 20 minute drive) away from Zutphen, a lovely walled city with a bustling Market, cobbled streets, classy shops and cafés and riverside waterfront.

There was a very nice forest right next to the cottage that you could cycle or walk your dog in. In the evening you could sit in the bar and watch people play tennis. The cottage was generally very nice too. You could add breakfast but it was a bit expensive for what was on offer. The town was close and quiet!

Dieren is located on the edge of the Veluwe National Park. It's a wonderful place for walking. The town center is historic and very beautiful. There's a park with unique trees and some great thrift shops. It's easily accessible by train.

I was here to visit my son, but Dieren borders the Veluwe National Park. You can enjoy lovely walks in the woods. The town center is historic and there's a nice thrift store. It's accessible by train.

Beautiful countryside for walking and cycling.

Beautiful countryside for walking and cycling. The town itself wasn't particularly interesting; it lacks a village center. We ate at El Matador: a kind of Turkish-Mexican steakhouse, very tasty and friendly service, modestly priced. We then ventured further afield to Doesburg and Zutphen. 't Roefje in Loenen is also good.

Very clean, well appointed and some lovely decorative touches. Everything has been very well considered. Friendly hosts and the accommodation is extremely peaceful and very well located (1 minute walk to the train station, with regular intercity trains; we were able to visit Nijmegen, Arnhem and Utrecht during our short stay). Also we located for some great walking in the nearby national park. Dieren has plenty of supermarkets and places to eat out. We hope to come back.

Very nice location in the beautiful old part of Dieren. Great location to explore nice places from like Zutphen, Bronkhorst, Doesburg, Nationaal park de Veluweoom. Constans is a great host, welcoming us warmly and introducing us to many of his nice friends. Definitely worth a return in the summer as this part of the country is also great for biking

The location is perfect, next to station and bus station, but very quiet in Dieren. Dieren is a a very nice village, close to the IJssel river and nature areas. Also the city of Arnheim is easy to reach.

the property is a nice house in a row with a spectacular view from a dyke over an unspoiled Dutch river landscape. Dieren is a very nice authentic village as well. Railway station 9 minutes on foot.
