Room was spacious, clean, well appointed, modern. (To my surprise I received an upgrade) Bathroom also spacious, clean, well appointed and modern. Both shower and jacuzzi. It is a large facility. The internal signage was good. Breakfast full selection Dinner wide selection and tasty. Not high cuisine, but more than standard Buffet lunch for workshop group was fresh, tasty and attractive I facilitated a workshop - the facilities were excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. Easy to deal with in advance and they met all our needs throughout the day.

Fantastic bed & breakfast in the picturesque town of Assen. Check-in was easy and the room was perfect. We visited for a friends wedding, held at the Drents Museum, and the location of the B&B was ideal, as it was right across from the museum. Easy to find and good parking directly in front of the B&B. The apartment (as it is a lot more than but a 1 room B&B) looked fantastic on our arrival at 21:00 at night. Beautiful soft and warm lighting made it feel very welcoming. We were very impressed with the attention to detail that this couple put into their property. They have put a lot of love and care into getting every detail perfect. A Very comfortable bed where we both slept very well was followed by an AMAZING breakfast !!! Far more than we could eat... We were there in winter so we could not really use the private patio in the garden but I can imagine that having breakfast out there would be a beautiful and VERY memorable experience. I look forward to booking again as this little diamond would make an ideal base of operations from which to explore the northern area of the Netherlands.

beautiful home and surrounding, host was super accommodation we were leaving too early for breakfast so host made us a pack lunch to take. I have to apologies as i have forgot the ladies name but she was warm and welcoming made us feel at home would defiantly recommend

Some parts of the city are particularly attractive: the forest 'Asser Bos' and the part of the city between that forest, the canel Drentse Hoofvaart, and the railway station.

We travelled to Assen to attend an important art exhibition...

We travelled to Assen to attend an important art exhibition at the Drents. We had no other itinerary, other than to see the exhibition, and leave. What a pleasant surprise! Friendly, engaging locals, and a pretty little town that is really easy to get around. We stayed the night, and were happy we did. An unforeseen highlight of our visit to Holland.

Very helpful staff, large comfortable room and wet room. Excellent breakfast and meals served in their adjacent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and conveniently close to all facilities, including railway station, shops, market, an excellent museum and the very reasonably priced town hall underground car park. An excellent centre for visiting the Drenthe Moor megalithic remains.
