The heart of the place is definitely Sandra! She makes the hole stay just comfortable and welcoming! She even got my friend a birthday gift, us some coffee in the morning and she arranged us a tour to the canyon (plus the transport there). The apartment is more than great - there is everything you need and it’s perfectly furnished! The kitchen was good equipment, so we could cook a several times. Also the location in Somoto is really nice! Everything is nearby and we have to say, that Somoto is really worth a stay! It’s so modern and pretty!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostal San José. The hostel and rooms are very clean, well furnished and decorated. The staff is super nice and the two dogs lovely. We're really sad that we just stayed for one night. The hostel, Somoto and the surrounding is worth to stay for a while!

The package of accommodation, meals and canyon tour was the perfect local experience in a beautiful country setting. The food mainly produced on the finca was fresh, delicious and the queso amazing!! Francisco has created a lovely simple getaway place. Miguel the canyon tour guide was friendly knowledgeable and bi lingual. A tranquil spot to enjoy.

Juan and his family are very kind, warm and generous. It was a pleasure to meet them and rest in their tranquil house. The food was great, as well as the tour we took with them. Really authentic and unique experience!

Location was perfect! Right in Somoto canyon and the nature is amazing. Breakfast was a super good, a typical Nicaraguan breakfast. The staff was so friendly and took care of us super well!
