Everything! The owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. They gave us advice on places to go and eat. The gardens are gorgeous- they grow their own fruits, we even saw a hummingbird! All the staff are extremely friendly. The pool is fabulous to relax around and everywhere is scrupulously clean. A little walk into town- but we felt totally safe and it gave a real insight into how the locals lived- they couldn’t have been friendlier. Come in Brits- visit Nicaragua. It’s beautiful and has everything for a great holiday at superb prices. And stay at this hotel.

The staff were so happy and made guests very welcome. Location is excellent, close to the busy areas and also far enough away to allow relaxation. I'd recommend a guided walking tour and also the deaf cafe nearby. The breakfast was excellent, filling and just perfect to set you up for the day ahead.

Nice comfortable room with good air con. A couple of mins walk from the cathedral. Breakfast was fine. They organised a taxi to pick me up in Managua which ended up much cheaper and easier than if I’d tried to book one myself upon arrival.

Let's start off with the staff: Lovely people! They instantly make you feel welcomed. Even the pets are very friendly. The place is beautifully designed. Rooms are cosy (and again, beautiful!) I was on my own but I'm really looking forward to coming back with a companion and try the board games. Another great thing to point out is that they don't have a curfew so you can enjoy nightlife or just go for a walk (but you will definitely end up in a restaurant I assure you). And the tours? Oh my-! You have to go and experience at least one of them. Truly amazing experience. And breakfast is delicious! Had the time of life there even if it was just for one night.

We had the most beautiful room (#1) I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful wood windows, balcony and tiled shower open to the outside! Not all the room are this nice so ask for 1! The vegetation around the hotel and the building were also beautiful! Terri the owner and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast, complete with homemade yogurt! Loved this Hotel and great for the price!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Granada for a quick overnight for hot showers and laundry service. Staff was wonderful, accommodations were great; breakfast was delicious. WONDEFUL location! My daughter wants to bring friends back to Granada for her 16th birthday trip and we plan to stay at Casa del Consulado when we return next summer!

A beautiful colonial town that has a lot of charm and is still very quiet and safe. It is still very budget-friendly and has the potential of becoming the next Antigua, but hopefully for the benefit of local people and without the gentrification and increased prices that are much too common in towns like this.

The location of Casa Bubu is so great, close to the center, clean and quite neighborhood , we enjoyed walking to the cultural center of Grenada, had several dinners at Pita-Pita, and NM Culinary Granada. If I will go again to Granada I would definitely stay at Casa Bubu.

Granada is a pretty colonial town allowing easy access to Lake Nicaragua and an hour and a half drive to the Southwest to hit the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. Lots of choices to eat and drink in Granada but get there before it becomes too popular and loses some of its Authentic appeal.

Granada is stunningly beautiful and a wonderful place to visit! So much history and beauty everywhere — natural, cultural, historical. Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful, even with my limited Spanish. It is very safe and walkable, and taxis are also readily available! We visited Massaya (mostly for the artisan market), las Pueblas Blancas (for ceramics), and Caterina Mirador (view of Laguna Apoyo) on the way, and I would highly recommend all of these experiences. During our stay in Granda we visited Las Isletas, Mombacho for the canopy tour, and explored on foot and in a carriage. Favorite restaurants were El Ziguan and Asarte. Both were excellent! Breakfast at Secret Garden was also delicious! We really enjoyed our time in Granada!

Granada is a beautiful Spanish colonial classic, a must on your trip to Nicaragua. I went straight from Managua airport without staying in Managua . I also reccomend the Volcanoe cone Appoyo, it is pristine clean water, swimming in a Volcanoe cone. My favorite cafe was the Garden Cafe delicious food and beautiful courtyard setting typical of inner city Granada

Marcia and Micheal, the owners, a Swiss-Guatemalan couple, are more than nice, extremely helpful and caring, as well as their personnel. The hotel is modern with a hot shower and high water pressure, which is really not standard in Nicaragua. It is a little oasis in the middle of Granada.
