This was a one bedroom lodge with its own deck overlooking the jungle and beach. It was rustic but v well appointed - we loved the geckos in the roof, and watching fireflies at night. Hibiscus beach is beautiful and a 10 min walk away is a fantastic cafe where you can eat in the beach and watch the sun set.

Hidden away this was an absolute gem of a place - total luxury in a quote location back from the beach (only 2 min walk). Plenty of space for family of 5, large Ned rooms with fan and AC, clean bathrooms, well appointed kitchen and of course the pool - magical. The on-site team of staff were very attentive, each morning breakfast was prepared for us to order, whilst the pool was cleaned and the garden racked and tidied - couldn’t fault the service.

The house is straight out of a fairy tale. The staff were the most hospitable out of the many, many places I have stayed in. The location is surrounded by nature, there are quad bikes you can take out and hammocks to lie in and relax too! If you get a chance to stay here, do yourself a favour and come - 1st to review on booking.com and am beyond happy the gamble paid off. Thank you for the incredible memories guys. If you have a book you want to finish reading, some work to do on a laptop and still snorkel or swim morning or afternoon while doing so this place is the spot. This homestay is the classic village house on a coast in a small village, and the ambiance is excellent to relax and slow down your trip. Perfect to escape the crowds and herds of tourists in Sabah. The owner was amazing and helpful, very knowledgeable in terms of snorkeling and diving in the whole region or even further, and his family cooked us homemade dinner and fresh fish every night for a little extra. Beach is small in terms of sand but has a very shallow water area that goes far. The beach extends very far south and you can go for a long walk in the evening. Local fishermen are very friendly and enthusiastic to see you.
