The hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. It is a luxurious resort, right by the sea; from my balcony, I had a beautiful view of the bay. There is a fine infinity pool, as well as other facilities; and the food is excellent. Boats are available nearby to visit other parts of the island. The hotel is near a spice garden and an insectarium, but is located away from the busier parts of the coast; at the same time, it is only a short drive from Penang.

Reception staff were very nice and efficient, prompt check in at 3pm with luggage keeping (though the backroom for holding luggages is small). Room very clean. Housekeeping staff very friendly. Amenities were sufficient, even had a microwave which was nice to have though we didn't get to use it. Location is excellent, near hawker centre and Kek Lok Si temple which is the main place of attraction.
