This hotel was really great: rooms were beautiful and well equipped with all the necessary for a pleasant stay, bathroom was spacious, too, and offered all kind of toiletries, a hair dryer, plenty of towels... Breakfast was rich and offered a lot of different options: from the traditional Malaysian one (laksa, noodles, rice....) to more "international" dishes - English breakfast, toasted bread with kaya, jam, peanut butter, cereals... Location is perfect to explore the heart of Kuching, and is easily reachable also by Grabs and taxis in general. But what really stole my heart was the availability and kindness of Meritin staff. Since in Kuching there are no luggage storage options (well, I did not find any even if I tried), it was natural to ask Meritin if they could store our stuff between our two stays there (we slept here on 12th and on 14th, but on 13th night we were in Batang Ai region, taking in part in 2 days - 1 night excursions and using Kuching as our base). Not only they kept our stuff on 13th night, but they also allowed us to take our baggage there BEFORE our first booking there... on our really first night in Kuching (10th) we were staying in a different hotel and on 11th we were sleeping in Bako National Park, but Meritin allowed us to leave our luggage in their lobby starting from 10th so we could easily retrieve our baggage at the hotel after our 2 days in Bako! If it's not great service, I really don't know what I should call it! Thanks a lot, we had the greatest time here!

An excellent hotel. Lovely and quiet and nicely presented. The room was big enough for the 4 of us. Breakfast had a good selection even for a vegan. Pool was covered in the bar area so perfect whatever the weather (bit of a shock when you first get in). lovely views from the pool/bar and you can see the fountain show from there. Great location. The staff were excellent. The lady poolside attendant was really lovely and friendly and we loved our little chats with her.

The staff where so friendly and the room super clean. I had a long stay in the hotel and i felt so welcome. It’s near to the airport and i like that it’s not directly in the centre. Everything that you need it’s near; grocery, restaurants, mall etc. It’s about 10’ with the car. The room service, dining and laundry service is top. I’ll come here again if I come to Kuching. (:
