Amazing hotel, modern, well designed, spacious rooms, great view. It feels like you are in the middle of nature, it is built very well. Two wonderful beaches which allow great snorkling. The romantic beach is within the top 3 beaches I have ever been. You have to do a bit of walking if you explore by foot, but thats ok when eating such great food - and they offer buggy service and are usually very quick and easy to order. The hotel staff is very lovely and takes good care of you. The food is great. Great diving center, with very nice guides and interesting diving sites really close by. Great for families too, we brought our relatives who live in Malaysia for a weekend, with two kids, and they had a great time. There is lots to do for kids. They have a great gym with an amazing view. We stayed 11 nights and we weren't getting bored at all, could have stayed much longer. All the pools are amazing, this hotel offers really a lot and we are already dreaming of coming back.

The room was nice, with a fan and air conditioning. The host was wonderful and very helpful, including arranging snorkelling tours and taxis. The village is also lovely.

This was the holiday of a lifetime. A fantastic experience for all of us (2x 60+ somethings and 2x 20+ somethings). Carla and her entire team without exception were attentive, friendly, and each very interesting in their own individual way. From first impressions (the porter carrying a 25Kg suitcase from the landing boat up the beach to the hotel - on his head!!), through the welcome drink and Carla's very helpful introduction to island life, the food, and happy hour cocktails every day that you can set your watch by ready for the evenings activities along the beach (fire show, lots of excellent food, beach bars), will remain in our memories for a very long time - well at least until we return again!! The beach was a great blend of very clean, and lively enough to be interesting without overcrowding (the two weeks before Europe schools break for summer). So much to do too! We were here 8 nights and were busy right through, snorkelling with turtles, baby shaks (sic), little Nemo's and a whole host of other tropical fish. We were lucky enough to see, on two separate days, turtles come up the beach in front of the hotel to lay 100+ eggs (taken to a local sanctuary for hatching and release), and watch the mothers (Shirley Turts and Lily Shelby) make their way back to the water after dark. Amazing wildlife. A short day trip to Redang island was very worthwhile too - beautiful beaches. The boat boys (GreenBoys next to the hotel) were super helpful and friendly for all our excursions out to sea. We made a great number of ongoing social media friends on this trip. We used the spa on several occasions - June's massages were terrific after a long day in the sun and sea.

7 brand new huts, opened July / Aug 25. We were one of the first guests and everything is brand new like a show home. Not directly on a beach but only a 3 minute walk in one direction to Coral Bay (chilled beach with great sunsets) or 5 minutes the other way to Long Beach (lively beach with great sunrises). Breakfast wasn’t included in our room rate, but was excellent and great value in the owners restaurant. Staff were lovely too.

I truelly believe that you can’t find any better place to stay than at the Asma. The bed is very comfortable, you have a nice shower and a balcony. What made the experience unique for us was definitely the host. Aziz and Liya helped us for EVERYTHING. It is a true blessing to have found such exceptional host for the perhentian as you have to organize a lot of things from transfer to activities, everything was taken care by the staff. It is so resting for us as vacationers to not to worry about airport transfer etc. Above that, all the activities were so fun and exciting. We saw sharks, turtles, corals… For having stayed in many many places all around the world, it is the first time that we are so sad to leave a place… Thanks again Aziz and Liya for everything and we will sure come back
