What a wonderful little hotel. Just 10 rooms. The rooms were recently renovated and spacious. The bed was the best I’ve slept in since I left home four weeks ago. Comfortable, great sheets, great pillows. The bathroom was stylish and immaculate. There is a filtered hot and cold water dispenser and a Nespresso machine in the room. The owner is happy to highlight the things to see in the old town on a map, which is about a 6 minute walk to the old town. The hotel is across the road from a shopping and restaurant area. We got a SIM card around the corner from the hotel and downloaded the Grab Car app which makes getting to things that are on the outskirts of Ipoh, like the temples and caves, very easy (and inexpensive).

The staff is truly helpful and friendly. They are the reason we extended our stay. The room was tasteful and comfortable. The common areas are very nice and you cand spend your time O. The terrace, in he kitchen, or in the common living room. We really appreciate this and it leads to nice interactions between guests. Coffee was tasty.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this homestay. The check-in process was straightforward, and the flexible timing made my arrival stress-free. The host contacted me through WhatsApp and provided all the necessary details clearly, which was really helpful and easy to refer back to. The host was friendly, patient, and very attentive with their guidance. The room was spotless, cozy, and offered a pleasant view. The environment was quiet and comfortable, ensuring a restful stay without any disturbances. The location is excellent as well—very convenient and easy to access. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this place!

The roads were so easy to drive on!

The roads were so easy to drive on! Lovely people and and great restaurant foods! We didnt enjoy the local foods as much - maybe due to different palettes preferences! WE did enjoy Kellie's Castle, STG Tea House and Pusing Chinese Seafood restaurant! The beautiful trees that lined the roads are just so beautiful.

Ipoh wasn't on my list at first, but I did get it...

Ipoh wasn't on my list at first, but I did get it recommended from a Malaysian lady who visited NZ. I would say it was a hidden gem, way less touristy than Penang and Langkawi. The food is superb!! Every foodie has to go! Highly recommend it for 2-3 days, as it is half way from KL to Penang if you are travelling by train. There are beautiful cave temples around and for families with kids the biggest Waterpark in Malaysia is a 20min drive from town centre.

Plenty of good food at Stadium food court.

Plenty of good food at Stadium food court. For Indian food, go to Indian Street, Legen Ipoh food is good. The Chellapa tea stall was good. Cowan Street Kuew Tiaw is popular. Anderson Club has good dinner too. Tasik Cermin was crowded but not worth to my opinion, as the lake was similar to Gunung Lang lake. Kellie's Castle will be worth a visit. Perak Cave Temple is good and also the Murugan Temple looks good too. Interesting place is the pomelo stalls at Gunung Rapat, near Sam Po Tong temple where there will be 20-30 stalls selling pomelos. Jusco Kinta is nice place to shop.

Ipoh has a lot to do, we spent some time in the old town...

Ipoh has a lot to do, we spent some time in the old town soaking up the history and some great food places. We also went white water rafting which was amazing. We went to a hot spring spa hotel for the day which was well worth it! Overall, amazing place to stay for a relaxing few days.

We were in Kuala Kangsar for a wedding and decided to stay for a night in Ipoh. So it was more for a social family visit not a tourism visit. Will come back again to Ipoh as a pure tourist to enjoy d many attractions available in Ipoh

Petrol station is just next to the hotel as well. There are coffee shops and Foh San dim sum shop lots is located behind the hotel. Walking distance to the Ipoh town area such as Lou Wong chicken rice, Funny Mountain and etc.
