Careless drivers everywhere.
Careless drivers everywhere. Cafes closed too soon and shooing customers away. Too many Chinese scammers running temples in disguise of religious worship places - do avoid walking into one unless you wanna reduce some money. Dead town, not worth the time. Move on to JB instead.

Just a small town, so I see no requirement to stay longer than 2 days unless you got business or prayers (lots of temples) to do. Need to drive around to your convenience to your destination or to look for good and tasty food. One of the best food eateries - Yong's Steam Boat Garden (highly recommended), was the best dinner meal I had in Batu Pahat, superbly value for money meal considerably for the food you ordered.

It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing.
It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing. So it’s wonderful for foodies. They have an awful lot of cafes with great coffees (both local kopi and the western coffee). This is my second trip and I’d recommend: Coffee in Town (nasi lemak, Sambal sotong), Han Kee Cakes & Cake, Swee Kee Soup, Rengit Coffee (they plant, roast and serve in their own Rengit cafe!), Lim Coffee Trading Co (more specialty coffee roasts)… and check out the Glutton Street (note: closed every Monday)
So it’s a must to bring home bags if those powders! I like them all for its low acidity and great aroma. In a nutshell, too much but to eat too little time .. LOL
Unassuming. Unpretenrious . Sufficient facilities. Good for short getaway away from hustle and bustle of the big cities but still did not lose the touch of modernity. A place to relax and enjoy the time.

It's a local food heaven. Old city with modern development.
It's a local food heaven. Old city with modern development. The Nasi Briyani, Asam pedas, Lontong Satay are the best! Anyone who loves food should list Batu Pahat in the itinerary when they come to Johor.
The room was clean, and neat. Not too big or too small. Basic amenities like drinking water, toothbrush and others are provided. The breakfast was decent and food was adequate. Parking was easy as there was inhouse parking. The location is good and near to eateries. The airconditioning was good.My room had an excellent view of Batu Pahat. I had the sun set and sun rise into my room. That was great.
The house is very clean & tidy and the facilities ( cooking utilities, bathroom, etc) is sufficient & complete. The host is very helpful and checked-in / checked-out easily. Location is strategic because near to town area. Restaurant and convenience shop is nearby. Shall repeat to stay here again.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making our stay a delightful experience. The overall comfort and warmth provided by the hotel staff and amenities overshadowed these concerns. We still had a pleasant and relaxing stay, thanks to the positive aspects of our experience
Newly refurbished. I used to stay here 15 years back. So much different.so nice lobby, room, toilet and cafe. Tak rasa macam 3 stars hotel. Feels like 4 stars. bathroom Marble design. So nice. Shout out to the manager for giving us free ice creams.
Services, clean and comfortable, bathroom is the best, they clean up every corner and the hot water come with water pump.i am the one who always travel to batu pahat, and tried many hotels in this state this is the best for me.
Comfortable and well maintained, facilities as advertised, clean sheets and towels, quiet private housing area but close enough to shops, eateries and Batu Pahat city centre.
good location, many food option within walking distance from the hotel. street parking available and the hotel take care of the fees up till check out, which is very nice.
Its nicer in the picture but not in reality. I dont mind the room size since it is budget hotel BUT there’s gap at the door, I literally can see outside through the door.
