We loved our stay at Fernanda & Fernando’s lodge boho-chic style in the middle of flowers, greenery and eclectic decorations. We first stayed in a double room then moved for the last 2 nights to the room with king bed and kitchen, which is a worthwhile upgrade. The hosts and their staff work hard to keep this huge compound welcoming and clean, it seem to have further expansion plans. We could not use the beautiful pool as water was a bit cold (normal during this season) and did not eat at the restaurant as it closes at 5-5.30pm, too early for us after spending the day visiting the region. The village of Huayapam is an excellent surprise. Great location just 30min from Oaxaca center and easy starting point to visit Monte Alban, Mitla, Arrazola, Hierve el Agua and so many other fascinating places. Tiny but super cute with amazing restaurants, esp the family run Luz de la Luna (we live in Peru and the food and cocktails are at the level of some best Lima restaurants). Huayapam and its friendly inhabitants are worth being much better known and supported! Mil gracias y suerte!!!

We had a truly exceptional stay at HOTEL LEPETIT. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the area. The shower was fantastic, boasting incredible pressure that made every rinse feel luxurious. The Wi-Fi was lightning fast, perfect for staying connected. What really stood out, though, was the team. They were not only friendly but also genuinely helpful, going out of their way to answer and assist all our questions and ensure we had everything we needed.

Great location. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely and good options. Everybody was really friendly and even helped us booking a taxi to the airport. We stayed in the front room and had no issues with noise at night at all. The room was decorated beautifully. Would highly recommend and would come back again if in Oaxaca!

Nicely designed hotel with very kind staff. Very clean and we found the bed super comfortable, some of the better night's sleep we had while traveling. The inner courtyard and terrace are also very nice and we enjoyed staying in Xochimilco.

We stayed at a the Huayapam Yuu Lodge on the edge of the village, exceptional. An extraodinary setting with mountain views, gracious and helpful hosts, a real sense of tradition and authenticity, wonderful food, plants, hummingbirds -- it was a restful retreat and jumping off place for many fantastic day trips in the region, and just a taxi ride away to Oaxaca city. In future we'd like to explore the eco-park near town and eat at the XHEN Cocina de Humo Contemporánea‎ restaurant, as well as take more time to explore the town and maybe catch the Easter procession (we heard plenty of practice fireworks and music in the distance). The Lodge was amazing!

It was quiet and there were many sitting areas on the...

It was quiet and there were many sitting areas on the grounds / pool area. I could easily walk around the village without having to rent a taxi though they certainly would have called me for one. The room was beautiful. I was there for a week while taking Spanish classes in the nearby school.
