clean, quiet, modern facilities, excellent breakfast choices. only 1,020 paces from the airport. ( yes I did count them) but I didn’t hear the planes. ten minute walk to the marina and all the restaurants there. bus stop across the road to the Malecón and old Vallarta.

I had high expectations for this property based on the photos and the hotel did not disappoint. The rooms are finished to a very high standard, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom excellent. My room had direct access to the pool and the class windows provided all the privacy needed. The included breakfast was adequate although pastries are available at minimal cost. I would recommend Casa Maria and will come back.

I stayed here for just one night last year, and loved it so much that I came back this year for 4 nights. My favourite part is how calm and peaceful it is - I was here to work on some writing, and it was really quiet and tranquil. My apartment was huge and had everything I needed - kitchen, huge TV, lovely balcony, very comfortable bed. The pool is huge which is great if you love to swim, and the gardens are just beautiful - I really enjoyed watching the birds and lizards and hummingbirds. The food is also excellent (the shrimp quesadillas are out of this world), which is lucky because there isn't really anywhere good to eat nearby that isn't an expensive tourist trap - just eat here if you can! Staff are really friendly too. It really is an escape - it's in a very quiet neighbourhood and you won't want to leave!

We loved everything about this hotel. Our room was beyond expectations (Mariposa) with its quirky decor and balcony overlooking the atrium. The breakfast room was gorgeous, with river views and a spa pool. The rooftop infinity pool was perfect for morning length swimming and had spectacular 360 degree views. A a bonus pool and sun deck was just above our room. The location was perfect, next to the river and Coale Islsnd, plus loads of small restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Our stay was made extra special by the hotel staff and the two rescue cats, Elizabeth and Josephine.
