We stayed at this small guesthouse from November 19, 2025, to November 29, 2025. It is a very cozy guesthouse with rooms in a European style. Everything was tidy and clean, towels were changed daily, and at the reception, there was a kettle, tea, coffee, Nescafé, sugar, and milk available. The breakfasts were excellent, traditional Maldivian style. The owner of the hotel is amazing—very friendly, kind, and accommodating—he fulfilled everything we wanted or needed. We even went on trips with him, which were fantastic experiences. We recommend it wholeheartedly. Next year we will definitely return! 🥰 Just like in the photos, it is exactly like that in reality!!!

I spent five wonderful nights at the Sunrise Lagoon and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This hotel is one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Every detail was taken care of. One of my favorite parts was being able to watch stingrays just a few steps away from the hotel every evening, it was absolutely magical and peaceful. We also went on a turtle snorkeling trip, which I highly recommend. The hotel arranged everything seamlessly for us, including the trip at a very reasonable price. Another excursion nearby was the nurse shark snorkeling tour. I didn’t join it this time, but I’m definitely planning to next time! In terms of location, Sunrise Lagoon is hands down the best hotel on Gaafaru. It’s brand new, exceptionally clean, and perfectly located. Hotel owner, Riyas, ensured everything went smoothly from transportation to all other details, we felt completely at ease the entire time. On arrival, we were warmly greeted with fresh coconuts, and our room was immaculate. The children bed was also spacious and comfortable. The hotel also went above and beyond with meal orders, ensuring that we were never left waiting for our food. Every evening, we had our meals without delay. This truly was a 5-star experience. Gaafaru’s beach is peaceful and stunning, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Without a doubt, I’ll be staying at Sunrise Lagoon again!

He took such good care of my son and me. The trips, the transfers to and from Malé, the room, the service, everything was pure perfection! As a single mother traveling with a 9-year-old boy, I never, not for a single second, felt unsafe or uncared for. We travel a lot, but this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. It’s better than anything any luxury resort could ever offer. Authenticity beats luxury! Hashan, the cook, was incredible, his food was just wow, and he accommodated every single wish we had. You will all be missed so, so much. 💖

After being welcomed at the jetty we received a wet towel, tasty sandwiches and a refreshing drink. The staff was super friendly and we also liked the island, the room and the breakfast. We got water every day and beach towels.

Everything was great! We loved the Kagi resort, we can highly recommend it! Very beautiful reef, great friendly staff, delicious food, interesting excursions. If you want to relax and see the incredible underwater world, this is the perfect place to do it! I would also like to mention the diving center. Tried diving and liked it so much that I took a full course for basic certification (Skuba Diver).

Everything is amazing, from the staff to the island. They offer a great variety of activities with a personal butler that will be at your service and ready to answer your questions and provide you with anything you need. Everything looks exactly like in the pictures or I would say even better. Food was really amazing and diverse for lunch and dinner, always fresh and tasty.

The reef, the snorkelling - turtle paradise, dolphins off the reef, crystal clear water, excellent staff - polite, helpful, extremely accomodating, the brilliant food/cuisine headed by Maldivian Chef Satheeh, especially the buffet at The Spice, the water villas - private, they provide beach slippers, raincoat, umbrellas, life vest and bag, along with being well designed, environmentally friendly, are all worthy of 5 stars. The best resort of the 10 Maldivian resorts we've been to.
