Oh what an amazing experience we have had! first i want to say big then you to Ahiva Village team! you make very good job! what we liked more about our stay: - coziness of the place. it really gives you a good feeling of privacy - crew’s readiness to help you with every issue - each room has its umbrella which is pretty useful in case rain bothers you. - food. OMG. there was no buffet: all food was prepared right in front of you. so tasty, yummy, fresh, balanced and delicious! this is just amazing. and it concerns both a la carte menu and food included in your reservation plan. what else I want to mention: location. all hotels on the island are at the same distance (+-100 meters) from bikini beach where the entrance to the ocean is clear, without stones, so it will anyway take you some 6-10 minutes of walk in picturesque tropics till you get to the marvelous beach. mosque. at first i was afraid the mosque being right next to Ahiva will be a problem due to early morning prayers. But out of 6 night neither me nor my husband were woken up by sound from outside. i should say a heavy rain is better heard.

We stayed at Villa Laguna and really enjoyed it. The hotel is new, very clean, with stylish and bright rooms. The bathroom was modern and comfortable. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was decent and fresh. The hotel is located a bit away from the beach, but in a quiet area near the port, which is great for evening walks along the promenade. A special thanks to the hotel manager — he stayed in touch, helped us book a speedboat, and gave clear directions on how to find it. Overall, a great place for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at the villa. The place is very spacious with large rooms, lots of light, and plenty of space to relax. Everything was spotless and very well maintained, which made us feel comfortable and at home right from the first day. The villa is also very peaceful and private, which was perfect for us to rest and enjoy our time. The staff were fantastic, always kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We stayed at Palms Retreat for our honeymoon in November–December 2025, and this place absolutely stole our hearts! We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome upon arrival — they greeted us with lemon tea, a refreshing wet towel, and delicious snacks to enjoy with the tea. The hotel is beautiful, incredibly cozy, and designed with such love and attention to detail that you feel at home from the very first moment. The grounds are always spotless, the rooms are cleaned daily, and the inner courtyard is simply magical — stylish, atmospheric, and full of comfortable corners where you can relax anytime. The location is another big advantage. There are shops and a café nearby, and the bikini beach is just a 10-minute walk through a stunning palm grove. And the sandy spit there is a dream — one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen 😍 Our room was excellent: spacious, bright, with a huge terrace and a sea view. Every day we received two large bottles of water (1.5 L), and the room had everything we needed — shower caps, toothbrushes with toothpaste, towels, a beach bag, a razor, and all the toiletries. It was so nice that they thought of every little detail. The staff is incredibly friendly. Everyone is always smiling, ready to help, and they create such a warm atmosphere that you want to come back again and again. But the most special person is Aiman, the owner of the hotel. He has such a big heart! He is always around, checking on the guests, helping with anything you need. And the excursions he organizes are beyond words! He provides everything — life jackets, fins, masks — and together with the captain takes you to the most beautiful and lively spots in the ocean. We went on excursions to see manta rays, turtles, fish, and the coral garden — these were some of the most unforgettable moments of our lives. Aiman records everything with a GoPro and a drone and then sends you the videos — memories you’ll treasure forever.

The rooms are just as beautiful as shown in pictures and also provide a yoga mat and a beach bag. The whole building feels really spacious, bright and open and has its own Bikini beach area right in front, where you can just hang out or go snorkeling or stand up paddling. You get daily updates about weather, tides and activities. Even if the island is really remote and luckily not touristy, you can pretty much do any activity like snorkeling trips, fishing trips, dolphin cruise etc, all carefully prepared and done by the owner Ismail himself. On top of that there were complimentary activities done by Ismail such as house reef snorkeling and short thematic walks, so you could truly get to know the island and Maldivian culture. The island itself is also just super beautiful. With only a small village, half of the island is pretty green jungle and the bikini beach area spans across a wide part of the island. You cannot walk all around the isla nd, which makes it perfect to have nice little isolated beach areas to yourself. Also the house reef of the island is amazing with so many different fish - it’s just a dream for snorkeling. If you are lucky you can even see Manta rays right from the beach or from the SUP. What really makes this place special is the people who go above and beyond so that you can have your perfect holiday - from fresh coconut right from the tree or amazing chai tea, to organizing trips that are not regularly offered. If you have any questions or need anything, you can always reach out to the wonderful team and everybody will be warm and welcoming.
