Ari Grand Hotel on Dhangethi Island exceeded all expectations during my recent stay. The friendly staff made me feel truly at home from the moment I arrived. The clean swimming pool and inviting garden sofas were perfect for relaxation and work. The spacious room, along with the unexpected upgrade to the Jacuzzi Suite, added a touch of luxury to my experience. Breakfast was a delightful treat each morning, with a variety of delicious options. I'm already planning my next visit to this serene oasis. Thank you, Ari Grand Hotel, for an unforgettable getaway!

The best touristic experience of our life. The seaplane transfer was well organized, only 25 minutes to the island from MLE. We stayed 7 days in a beach villa, close to the peer. It was comfy, spacious and always very clean thanks to Esa from the maintenance compartment. The staff was very helpful, the kitchen was variable and really delicious. I have to say thanks to Ali and Sonjeet, they were extreme friendly and kind. Such as at the restaurant we had Heidi, Muneeb and Visham and the whole stuff; so wonderful people who are there for every moment to make our holiday even better then best! Nova is brand new, with an exceptional house reef and great sealife. Dive spots are really good, wreck dive can be done. Thanks to Tanya who was a great dive instructor for my AOWD course, and she was very patient and kind to my 8y old doughter at the boublemaker program. Do not miss the whaleshark watching! It was a breathtaking moment to see such a big fish so close to you. It was our 4th time in Maldives, but this experience is a different level then the others. Its really touched our soul! We (and chocolate the giraffe) gonna come back for sure! Thanks Nova!

I would recommend this place very warmly. The room was clean, it was cleaned everyday. It was quiet and right by the ocean. We had breakfast in the morning right by the waterside, good breakfast, both traditional Maldive and continental. It was close to all the good restaurants by the beach, only a few minutes walk to Compass Beach Bistro. Also we where diving with Scuba Divine, it was only 2 min walk from them. And only a few minutes walk to bikini beach. Very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and helped us with everything we asked about. When we came and left, they picked us up by the ferry and took our bags from/to the ferry and waited with us until the ferry came when we left. Lush garden in the hotel and a small terrace to overview the ocean. If we come back to Dhangethi we will definitely stay here again.

The excursions were amazing, Tholal made some beautiful videos and sent them to us for free, he gave to us for free the excursion to the sandbank and some souvenirs. He is very good at finding manta rays and whale sharks and works really hard for his guests, with passion and dedication.

It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello. There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food. There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists. We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling.

Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like. Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. The better beach beside it requires you to be clothed. However, the local people are super nice and helpful.

The staff tries to keep it very clean. They are friendly and would help with anything. The food is varied and very rich. The massage therapists are at a very good level. I did not like the markup of goods in the only store. The ratio is ten times.

Firstly to clarify the resort is located in Theluveligaa, not Dhangethi. Theluveligaa is a small island, I was a solo traveller (mid 30s female) the water villa is amazing and the outside space is spacious with a lot of seating options. I hardly spent time on the beach. The resort itself is very quiet even when full. There are no motorised sports however you can kayak, snorkel and dive (you can get your licence there) and do other trips: Whale Sharks, Mantas, Turtles. The food options are good, drinks are expensive a juice will set you back $18 staff are friendly, especially the dive instructors (Julia & Ebu) and receptionist (Maria) I would definitely recommend this resort and felt safe on my own.

Quiet, lovely colourful houses, quite small but surrounded by other islands. Head for the jetty especially at sunset. Two recommended cafes/ restaurants: Compass with its verandah dining tables where you can watch rays and baby nurse sharks being fed at dusk - the maitre d’ - Sampath was charming and obliging and the food was amazing. Try also the Blue Moon Cafe with the equally charming Anup as maitre d’. Not much coral as the island is surrounded by sea grass

A beautiful location. with some good snorkeling, which is provided by "Mother Nature" not the resort. In all other respects the resort is poor to terrible. We paid £10,500 for 10 days A.I.P; party of 4 in two poorly maintained Jacuzzi water villas. (Not a Jacuzzi- brand name - a Sovereign Spa Hot tub.) Some services offered simply don't work, and management are fully aware of this but continue to advertise. Guests are treated with disdain and rudeness by client relations team/management who are not visible. Included trips - Sunset Punch / Dhangethi are an excuse to try and take some more cash from their guests. They offer only excuses...."we are on an island so it is difficult to.....(insert complaint here)" "All Inclusive MInus" is a better description of their package. Got much better service, food, accommodation and customer care in Mauritius/Zanzibar/Thailand/Florida/Dubai/Turkey/Madeira/Cyprus/ Marakech etc etc.

The whole staff is super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. They organize amazing excursions, we got to see dolphins, a whale shark, nurse sharks and a boat wreck. Also the accommodation is perfectly clean and the food is really good. The island is small therefore very quiet but you can also find some souvenir shops. The hotel also has a bikini beach almost in front of it. And the manager is a wonderful person, always positive and available for anything!

Tholal is an amazing host. Nothing is too much to ask and there are lots of facilities and services available. The kitchen, laundry machine, and snorkeling gear were all free to use. We can also really recommend Dhangethi as a hoiday destination The locals are all very friendly and the island provides many activities. It is probably one of the best places to book diving and whale spotting trips from!
