What a lovely little adults-only hotel! Comfy bed, attentive staff, spectacular lunch every day at the little van round the side of the restaurant. The pool is in a perfect sheltered spot because it was exceptionally windy (that's the East in May for you) and the beach was not an option. Although just a 10/15 minute walk further around the coast and Trou d'eau Douce beach was much more calm. There is an awesome little shop with some really good options for mementoes or gifts. Staff of course were just wonderful - even the guy we thought of as 'grumpy barman' until we got to know him lol. The spa is gorgeous - do yourself a favour and get a treatment there (just avoid nail treatments, it's not their strong suit). Scrub and massages were to die for.

The apartment is very nice, well fitted with everything you might need, clean. Location is on the main road and easy to find. But the best thing is the care and kindness Kerstin is putting into making your stay a memorable one. She made reservations for boat trip, restaurants every night we spent there, kindly offered to call the airport for our lost luggage. The only thing I regret is not knowing that her husband is a Romanian foodie - we would have brought him some supplies. So, shoutout to all Romanians going there: bring over some polenta flour / mălai and goat cheese and you will make a guy happy very easily.

The hosts (Mike and his daughter Julie) were absolutely lovely, the accommodation (+ balcony) was very spacious and located at a very central location in town. Close to the beach, restaurants and harbour. Trou d'eau douce is the cutest town and Studio Manguillier the best accommodation to explore it from. I highly recommend staying here!

The apartment was very well equipped, spacious, clean and felt like home. Andrea the host was absolutely amazing and really helpful. We also took a boat excursion with him and it was great. Other than that he also helped us with the Underwater waterfall flight and we wouldn't make it without his help.

The communication before arrival and the warm welcome from the host Ashok were excellent. The apartment is spacious, clean and tidy. Everything you would expect from a rented apartment is provided including a fully equipped kitchen; even more: fruit on the table, cold water and beer in the fridge, as well as a nespresso machine and capsules. Beaches and restaurants are nearby. Absolute value for money.

La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants...

La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses.

A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other...

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

It was absolutely amazing! Perfect beach and location. Friendly and helpful host. Sadesh the restaurant owner, 2min walk from our stay was awesome, great food and very friendly and accommodating. Maybe an extra bathroom would have been nice.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.

Spacious apartment, we were on the 2nd floor overlooking the street. Lots of shops close-by. Pier for ile aux cerfs within walking distance. The apartment itself had everything we needed, lovely large bathroom and strong hot water pressure. The family that runs the hotel was top notch, very helpful. Made us feel comfy, thank you!

The hotel is nice, breakfast was very good, just the location shown on booking.com is incorrect, Google maps show it correctly. The location is sligthly remote some 10-15 minutes walk from the town center. The children had a fun in the pool. Overall it's a good option if you have a car.

The setting was incredible, the room was brilliant. We had a beach front view. The beach was amazing & the vibe was lovely. The hotel look was incredible. The staff upon arrival were so lovely. The food was so tasty & something for everyone!
