The appartement/studio is completely new and is situated in the north of La Gaulette. This is the perfect spot for a lot of advetures in the south of Mauritius. The appartement owner was available whenever we needed something. It was super clean, spacious, and we would definitely book again. The kitchen is fully equipped so its easy to cook yourself. Air conditioning is good.

From the booking to the day we checked in everything was nicely handled. The host has been very helpful in guiding us through the process. The apartment is simply wonderful, well equipped and very clean. We literally didn't lack anything. And it is perfectly located which made it easier to get to the nearby facilities. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

Amazing, clean apartment with everything you need, not only to spend some time on holiday, but to live long term! It's like at home. Well equipped kitchen (kettle, stove, toaster, microwave, fridge, all the pots and plates and mugs, cups etc...) plus a lot of space (separate bedroom, living room (with small sofa) connected to kitchen, big bathroom with hot water, well washed towels, iron... Plus a big terrace with a beautiful view on the mountains. Birds flying around... The whole place was just perfectly clean. Zero mold, no dust, smells fresh. The bed, duvet and linen just fantastic! It's really close to the small mall (well stocked up supermarket, café and couple shops with clothes). The Wi-Fi was working real good. And the owner, Aneeshia, was really nice and helpful. 100% recommend!

Avish, the owner=the perfect host! 10 points all round on all counts... and that's no exaggeration! Impossible to beat location (feet almost in the ocean, but too shallow to swim). Every conceivable facility/comfort/hominess at the guests' disposal. A brand new car to rent at reasonable rates. Simply superb!

Thank you very much. You immediately feel very well looked after and the host supports you wherever he can. Super fast and easy communication and you are very flexible with your times. The apartment is very well located and you can reach all the southern points of the island perfectly. I have rarely seen such a kind-hearted person, even though we were only there for one night. Absolutely amazing place - we loved it so much that we extended it! The owner was so lovely we felt so welcomed from the first second she was making sure everything is fine. The apartment is very big and has a beautiful terrace. It was very clean and had a great kitchen to cool meals and the location is the best

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more...

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.

An ideal place to visit La Morne and surrounding areas without the crowds. Nearby supermarket for groceries and restaurants. We had a car which made travelling around easier and i would reccommend getting one when coming to Mauritius as you see so much more

Close to Le Morne and other attractions and places worth visiting, 90 min drive to Port Louis. Island is a paradise for botanical enthusiasts, hikers, climbers, fans of all sorts of water sports and beautiful reef fish, encounters with whales, dolphins etc.very friendly lovely locals and I felt very safe at all times, safer than in European many places. Please do book with local people, not all inclusive international resorts without local feel.

The clear water at the beach was exelent. The clearest seewater I have seen on the hole island! The surounding with the mountains are great. The beach is clean. No waist is liing around. Kite surfing ist also the place to be! Restaurant Chalets Chamarel has a great view. Hard to find. Food to expensive and not good!!

not a typical tourist destination. However, great spot for trips and quiet place to chill before trips around the island - which is pretty easy to travel around. Great choice for families and backpackers like myself

Teddy is a great host! Always supportive (offers advice or a lift or whatever you need) and understanding. His motto is „make yourself a home“. He suggested to move the couch so we could create a safe bed for our kid. The accomodation is well located (near restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. In my opinion the village La Gaulette is underestimated. Before we went to La Gaulette people asked „why are you going there?“ we know very well now: it is a small fisher‘s place clos to Chamarell, Le Morne mountain and Prairie beach.

Amazing host, he even helped me organize a small surprise for my wife upon arrival and was available at all times for anything we needed. We were even welcomed with some local snacks - amazing touch! He even gave us a couple of passion fruits from the garden when we were leaving! The apartment is brand new, very spacious and comfortable, the balcony is big and really great for enjoying breakfast or the sunset with a glass of good wine. Le Morne is very close by car and the whole area is the best part of Mauritius.

- gorgeous, spacious and immaculately clean apartment. It is surprisingly nicer than the photos - nice host, yet everything was perfect so we didn't really need anything - located within a few minutes walking distance to the town's grocery store and restaurants - just 10 minutes drive from Charamel, and Le Morne - a perfect base to see many of Mauritius's nature attractions

The apartment is just great. The house is surrounded by a lush green garden in a very quiet area close to the main street in La Gaulette. It's a short drive to Le Morne and other sights in the south of the island. The apartment has all you need for both a short and a longer stay. Eating out on the shaded terrace was splendid!

Location of the property is great at La Gaulette. Ile Aux Benitiers is near by , Le morne is just 5km from here . Kevin is such a great host who is always available to help you and he also suggested some good eateries .
