The staff is really friendly and helpful. The food is a la carte and from the buffet are both very good and tasteful. The location on the beach is quite. You can easy walk tot Tamarin on low tide by crossing the river.

It was a lovely 4 days trip in this place. The room is clean and have all the facilities you need. The location is great, few minutes walk to the beach, supermarket and restaurants. The hosts are super nice and very helpful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I come back to Mauritius.

Every detail, from the beautifully decorated room, to the perfectly manicured garden overlooking the ocean, and the flawless organization of our special day, was handled with love and elegance. The beach is simply stunning, white sand, the scent of the ocean, and sunsets that look like something out of a movie. The food is outstanding, diverse, authentic, and each bite tells a story of its own. Our stay at Sands wasn’t just a vacation, it was the beginning of our married life in the most beautiful setting imaginable. A very pleasant surprise. The villas are wonderful and very smart located inside the resort. Because everything was renovated a couple of years ago it all looks great. The restaurants, lobby area and the bar are very nice and provide a very relaxing atmosphere. The food is good, except for fruits and vegetables which are not very tasty (all import). The beach experience is great, with a very beautiful water and sandy beach with sunbeds located 10-15 m apart. The staff is more friendly than in other hotels on the island (mauritius people are not very friendly by default). Oliver was a great host on the beach and Minta a great concierge during our stay. The overall experience is great, the hotel provides you 2 times cleaning per day, complimentary treats on the beach and in the room and a very diverse mini bar. It is a hotel in which we can return anytime with great pleasure.

Nice beach , lots of trips available . You really need a car or book trips if your staying any length of time as nothing much else to do . No nightlife during the week only Friday and Saturday otherwise everywhere shuts at 10pm

Lovely resort. Great beach. Gets very crowded at weekends. The beach is not quite as good as some of the beaches in the north, but it is still beautiful. Quite upseting to see the amount of litter left on the beach and traffic around the resort was sometimes an issue. But the location is great and the western sunsets are stunning! Our favourire restaurant was Mosaic, serving typical Mauritian food alongside a standard menu with burgers, pizzas and pasta with friendly service from Daniel and team. Casela Safari Park nearby is a good day out, and a day trip to the east to visit Iles aux Cerfs was a highlight of our stay.

The beach outside Sands and the other hotels are beautiful, unspoilt white sands, however the public beach part further north is busier with people and cars on the road, and lots of fast food vans, cheap bars etc.

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius,...

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

Great apartment! There is everything you need for a comfortable stay, clean and cozy, very comfortable beds, a nice pool in the yard, parking, great location - most attractions are 10-30 minutes by car, the beach is 20 minutes on foot. And great sunsets, that you can watch from the balcony! Great owner of the apartment! Many thanks to Reshma for the care - the products, that Reshma bought, were waiting for us when we arrived. If we come to Mauritius again, we will be happy to stay here again!

Very spacious accommodation with 3 bedrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 1 terrace + a balcony. The largest bedroom has access to the terrace and also has its own bathroom. There is no A/C in the living room and kitchen, but thanks to the constant windy weather in Mauritius you can open opposite windows and have a nice breeze coming through the apartment. The bedrooms have A/C. There is a nice, large pool in the middle of the building.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is so conveniently located - within walking distance of the beach as well as multiple restaurants and bars. The host is such a friendly and lovely lady who made us feel right at home. We will definitely be booking with Residence Dream Lodge on our next trip to Mauritius.

Location was perfect for us. Close to the beach, the mall, the Casela Nature Park. It was lovely to watch the sunset. My family wanted to try the public transport and it was so easy. Bus stop was close by. We stayed at 3 hotels/apartments during our stay in Mauritius, we preferred Sunset Vista.
