Great hotel.in a nice quiet location in Sliema,.a short walk from the harbour with natural.bathing pools, restaurants, etc. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is extensive and delicious: lots of fresh pastries, cheeses,.meat, salad, oats, yoghurt, a variety of breads, etc. Espresso machine in room. We got a suite with balcony and jacuzzi, with a view of the sea just down the street. Absolutely excellent!

We loved this boutique hotel with magnificent views to Valetta. Location on the sea front was perfect to get around and the room itself large with a fabulous balcony. The indoor pool and living room were superb as were the friendly, attentive & professional staff team headed up by Vicki. We were given lots of information locally as well as recommendations by the lovely Camila. And thanks too - to the staff in the restaurant, serving delicious breakfasts. Excellent all round - thank you.

Really nice stay above our expectations. We really appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the staff especially one men when we arrived in the night and one lady during the day (head manager) that gave us lots of advices and tips. We were upgraded. The room was clean and quite. On the rooftop there are two swimming pools and a lounge bar from the Ax palace hotel next door. The breakfast is amazing with fresh products and gluten free bread on request. The hotel is well located 5 mn from a beach and 5 mn from buses and boats to go to la valetta and other destinations.

We had a fantastic experience at 1926 Les Bains. The hotel combines comfort, style, and outstanding service, making our stay truly memorable. The wellness area was one of the highlights — especially the sauna, which was perfectly maintained and incredibly relaxing after long days exploring Malta. The facilities are modern, calm, and thoughtfully designed, adding real value to the stay. A special mention goes to Francesca, the Head of Hospitality, whose professionalism and kindness made a real difference. She was attentive, proactive, and genuinely cared about making everything smooth and enjoyable. Her support throughout our stay was exceptional and greatly appreciated. Overall, an excellent hotel with top-level service. We would definitely return and recommend it without hesitation.

I stayed for two nights in this beautiful structure. I immediately noticed how clean it was, not only the room but also the entire surrounding area. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was well cared for, down to the smallest details, and the cherry on top was the huge shower! I had a really great time and will definitely come back.

The stay at Giorgio Boutique Hotel was excellent. The location is very good in Sliema, 5 minutes away from everything. The owners were super nice, they allowed us to check-in earlier, and gave us a free room upgrade. The room was beautifully furnished, with a huge comfy bed. The hotel also has a nice terrace with a jacuzzi. If you want to stay in Sliema, look no further.

Scenic and energetic, Sliema is perched on the limestone banks of the Mediterranean Sea in the historic and charming island of Malta. It is a perfect coastal holiday destination and ideal base to discover the Maltese Islands.

A short drive from Sliema, Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal offers direct services to Comino and Gozo, which are great for sightseeing, diving, swimming and the unique boat trip around Blue Lagoon.

Discover Malta, from the marvellous Tarxien Temples, to the traditional and colourful boats and fusions of freshly cooked seafood in Marsaxlokk. Sliema is a practical and lively coastal town, particularly well suited for a city-style holiday. It is not the most beautiful or traditional area in Malta, but it stands out for its convenience. Despite the limited sandy beaches, the long seaside promenade provides easy walking, the sea is always close, and there are plenty of swimming spots. The area offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés, grocery stores and shopping opportunities. Public transport connections are good, and the ferry to Valletta is fast and convenient. Thanks to its central location, Sliema works well as a base for exploring other parts of Malta. On the downside, Sliema can be noisy and crowded, especially during peak seasons. The area is densely built up and lacks historical charm and green spaces. The atmosphere is functional rather than picturesque. Sliema is best suited for travellers who value location, service, and ease of movement over tranquilly and traditional charm. It is a solid base but rarely the highlight of a trip.

Sliema has changed noticeably over the years, becoming more modern and built up, but it still offers a pleasant atmosphere. The seafront is lovely for walks, with great views and plenty of cafés and restaurants to choose from. There is a wide selection of dining options to suit different tastes, as well as excellent shopping along Tower Road, including The Plaza Shopping Centre. Nearby, The Point Shopping Mall offers a good mix of international brands, Maltese jewellery stores, and food outlets, making Sliema a convenient and lively base to stay in.

Sliema was an ideal place to stay in Malta as the location is excellent close to all amenities, ferry port ,airport, buses and a short stroll from St Julian's and ideally situated for easy access to other cities .

We found Sliema too busy and hectic.

We found Sliema too busy and hectic. Lots of building work going on, the high rise skyline wasn’t appealing. Good transport links to other areas and an excellent ferry service across the harbour to Valletta. Beautiful views of Valletta from the sea front promenade but this road along the harbour was noisy with traffic not relaxing to walk along.

Great base from which to explore Malta.

Great base from which to explore Malta. Good ferry service to / from Valletta. Excellent (but very crowded) bus service to / from Valletta and other locations throughout Malta. Good general and some ‘high end’ shopping. Wide variety of restaurants, bars, takeaways and street food locations. Multiple short and long boat tours. The ‘real’ Sliema in the centre of the peninsula is not touristy. The narrow streets and lanes are well worth exploring on foot. Two excellent waterfront ‘proms’ to walk on (see and be seen). Pity they aren’t connected and continuous.

We stayed there because we were familiar with the area and we had a guest with us that had never been before, but we found it very busy, crowded and we moved on to Bugibba and we found this a better feel and environment. Quieter. I have stayed many times at St Julians/ Sliema but I don't think I would in future. It would be a place I visited not stayed in. The shopping centre there in Sliema was good and it was fairly easy to get around.

We liked the facilities, the very spacious family room in a quiet location. It's 5 minute walk away from the ferry to Valetta and near shops, restaurants, cafes etc. The restaurants of the hotel are very good and a nice option if the weather does not allow you to go anywhere else. The staff is very friendly but not at the level of professionalism of a 5 star hotel...it's more like a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is fresh and has got many options but not something very special. The rooftop swimming pool is really nice.

The location is amazing , two minute walk to Sliema sea front , lots of restaurants and salt water pools.🙃Stayed with my daughter for 4 nights , went on boat trip to Gozo. Quality of food and restaurants locally very good.😋 Breakfast at hotel had fruit,yogurt and hot food. Went out of the way to make me stronger coffee every morning 😅, pool outside and inside maintained well when we were there. Staff are kind and professional with tips on places to see. Lots of festivals on in Malta all the time.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy my stay here as much as I did! Very friendly staff - especially Dhanraj at the reception treated us with the service expected of a 4 or 5 star hotel ✨ The amenities were well-kept, hostel was clean overall, areas for working were spacious (with sufficient wifi in all areas I was in), and kitchen was large enough to do regular cooking. Bedrooms were not overcrowded with beds, so that one could comfortably move through the room (stayed in a female dormitory).

The lobby looked lovely and modern, but that's all we saw as on checking in we were advised that we had been moved to the sister hotel in St George's Bay, no notice, no explanation, no choice. We had chosen Sliema as the location we had wanted to spend our last few nights in Malta, not St George's Bay. While the hotel in St George's Bay was excellent, the area was essentially a building site. A disappointing end to our holiday and difficult to recommend the Verdi due to this.
