It is a very attractive and interesting spot.

It is a very attractive and interesting spot. We had a hire car and this helped us pack a lot of interesting visits into a short span of time. We came in March, so not everywhere was open. If you want a lively nightlife with lots of beachfront bars - this is not the place. If you want a good base to explore from, with a good restaurant nearby this is a good choice. It was perfect for what we wanted.

Love Marsalforn. We have been going there for over 20 years. Lots of very good restaurants and cafes. There is a regular bus up to Victoria and from there you can get buses to other parts of the island. At present the cost is 2 Euros for a ticket which you can use on multiple buses for 2 hours.

There are many restaurants to choose from, ranging from the most reasonably priced to the rather expensive ones. Irrespective of one's choice, food is always excellent. For those who prefer to eat in their apartments there are many well stocked food stores. The promenade is quite large and one can choose to swim in a sandy beach or in a rocky area.

Marsalforn is a small town on the north coast of the Gozo...

Marsalforn is a small town on the north coast of the Gozo island. Due to the overall small area of the island, Gozo is probably the second most important coastal destination after the port Mgarr. The town offers many restaurants on the coastal promenade, the nearby Xwejni beach with azure clear water, interesting natural scenery in the neighborhood (rock window Wied Il-Mielah, rock valley Wied Il-Ghasrí with the iconic beach), several supemarkts. I spend in Marsalforn my second holiday completely satisfied with Maltese wine during relaxed evenings far away from overcrowded, nervous and traffic-jammed Malta. A number of great beaches (Dahlet Quorrot, Hondoq Ir- Rummien, Wied Il-Ghasrí) are not accessible by public transport) so I recommend rent a car. Considering the lower traffic, getting used to driving on the left is not a serious problem for a continental European. Don't forget to visit the prehistoric Neolithic Temple of Xaghra, a thousand years older than the Egyptian pyramids! I wish you a stay as beautiful and happy as mine has been.

Great home base for our long weekend in Gozo (assuming you have a car). Cute little waterfront full of restaurant options, including Yummy Yummy Chinese which was a nice change from the Pizza, Pasta, and Seafood routine. We were in the shoulder season, so the water was still a little cold, although we did opt for an afternoon in the Blue Lagoon back on Comino. Didn't try any of the swim holes around Gozo, though. The roads in Gozo can get wildly rough pretty quickly, even if something looks like it's a bigger road on the map, so just take it slow!

This is a little gem; everything was perfect. Sonia was very helpful, her staff friendly and she’s an amazing baker!! The breakfast is simply marvellous and includes hot cooked to order as well as a beautiful array, buffet style, including at least one of Sonia’s freshly baked cakes or tarts. The building is beautifully restored and the finishes are charming. The place and the people are very warm and welcoming. It is very easy to find if travelling there by bus-just a few steps back from the bus stop. It’s close to Victoria as well.

The apartment is brand new and it is equipped with everything one needs. The rooms are really big and the terrace is huge. The nearest bus stop is two minutes away and the salt pans are at a walkable distance. There are many bars and restaurants in Marsalforn but the apartment is located in a very quiet area and the only sound that I heard was the wind outside.

The place has A/C without the coin system, which is commonly used in Gozo, so that is a big plus! Also it’s nice that they have a washing machine. Some shops and many restaurants at a walking distance so it is easy to do groceries around the area. The host was lovely and helpful when needed. The kitchen has pans, and most things needed to cook.

The staff was really kind with us all the time, and the room was modern and very clean. The location is 10/10, the beach is in less than a 1 min walk, and the bus stops in 50 meter from the guesthouse, a lot of restaurants are in a 2-3 min walk. The breakfast was delicious, you can choose your meal from a little buffet table.
