The Riad was really traditional, placed in a calm and beautiful area, where you can experience the traditional way of living! The rooms were clean and beautiful and the landlord was very kind, and helpful! He offered us an amazing traditional breakfast at the terrace where you could see the whole landscape of the region! Amazing location, they will pick you up in 4x4 to take you to the hotel as the roads are narrow. It’s beautiful property with clean rooms. View is breathtaking. Our suite was very big with all facilities. The outdoor pool and sitting area is also very nice. This was one of the best stays in Morocco. 100% recommended. Host was polite and helped too. They also serve wine for 200 DHM. Food is also cheap price and best quality.

It's a beautiful place with lovely decor and stunning views of the mountains. Aziz and Hilmi were so welcoming even when we arrived too early. Great pool and leisure areas and the bedrooms were spacious and beautiful. Great place to escape the heat and madness of Marrakesh. Need a car though! Lovely breakfast and dinner out by the pool.

Very annoying touts everywhere and not much water in October...

Very annoying touts everywhere and not much water in October. The waterfalls had zero water so go in Spring if you want to see it at its best maybe. Keep going up river for more quality places and there is a nice shop and cafe with (albeit expensive) argan oil products etc. They gave us a free tasting of their oils, honeys and almond butter with our coffees there.

Ourika is breath taking.

Ourika is breath taking. The restaurants with the river flowing is amazing. The kids loved splashing in the river. The waterfall is well worth exploring. The local residents are very welcoming and friendly. I definitely want to visit Ourika again!

If you are looking to escape the busyness of Marrakech,...

If you are looking to escape the busyness of Marrakech, Ourika is the place to be. However, I would not suggest going there during summer, it's not that hot however, the tourism isn't as booming as it could probably be during the spring / autumn. Amazing food, amazing people!
