We spent a few nights at the wonderul Karam Palace hotel in Ouarzazate. The location is fantastic, near the Taourirt Kashbah. Life music druing the evening. We wanted to change our room for some more privacy, it was no problem at all, we could choose from 3 different rooms on the 1st floor. The rooms are recently renovated, have a good bed and a great shower. All the staff members are very friendly and helpfull, they made us feel really welcome! We want to mention eveybody form cleaning ladies to management and also mr. Saleh of the wonderfull breakast and diner buffet for the excellent service! Hotel was truly magnificent. People were extremely helpful. Location was next to the filmstudio. The rooms were very very clean and the hotel looked brand new. Breakfast was very diversified and very delicious so was the food in the restaurant.

This is one of the nicest cleanest most interesting little areas I’ve ever been to. It was charming, extraordinary, fascinating, and the people were just unbelievably, loving and accommodating! I really loved it! Fabulous things to see too. It’s the Hollywood Of Morocco, but it doesn’t have the countless downside that Hollywood and America has. The people here are genuine and kind and caring. Definitely not the United States! I loved it here.

They called it "the door to Sahara" and we agree.

They called it "the door to Sahara" and we agree. the old town has a wonderful magical touch to it. The new town is trying to compete. We found everything clean and welcoming. The solar power station is amazing

It is home to the headquarters of the Atlas Corporation, the world's largest film studio, and also houses a film museum that can be visited.

With Studios to visit one day and Ait Benhaddou the next.

With Studios to visit one day and Ait Benhaddou the next. While each place takes half day each to visit take two days and enjoy the relaxation around the hotel. Staying at The Atlas Studio Hotel your next door to the studios. But a drive for anywhere else

We were disappointed in Ouarzazate.

We were disappointed in Ouarzazate. It is cosmopolitan city but the area around was quite dismal. Unfortunately like so many places in Morocco, a country we love, it is drowning in rubbish. The highlight was visiting Ait Ben Haddou.

Not only is Ouarzazate a pretty nice and vibrant place, there is much to explore around such as NooR, the most massive solar power station of the world, Atlas studios or Fint oasis. Recommended restaurants are La Datte d' Or, Ovelix and Habous patisserie.

The service at Le Petit Riad Maison d'hotes was impeccable; friendly, attentive but not too overbearing. Karim and Lassin (apologies for the spelling!) were great and when my husband was ill they even offered to help us go to the pharmacy. The food at Le Petit Riad Maison d'hotes was also incredible - we had dinner twice and they were some of the best food I had in morocco and the price was very very reasonable for a 3 course meal one of which was veal shank tagine (15 euro)

As it's a small hotel with few guests, you feel like you're in a private apartment. The hotel staff were nothing short of exceptional - they were always so friendly, helpful and smiley. Particularly the main reception lady who went above and beyond to make our stay special! The pool is refreshing as it's so hot in summer, and the food at their restaurant is DELICIOUS. If you want a true Moroccon experience, visit this place

The place is beautiful, comfortable, clean and has a good location to visit the Ksar. But the best thing is the food, the tajin that Mohamed (the super friendly and helpful owner) prepared for dinner was the best of all our tour around Morocco. Also the breakfast is delicious and homemade. I strongly recommend this Riad!!

The hotel looks amazing, fits the architecture so well and the pool area is great! Staff were also a highlight, they were very keen on being helpful and always had a smile. Breakfast had loads of options and the mint tea was the best I had in Morocco!
