Kasbah Gite D’etape Gorges De Ziz is located in Achbaro. Achbaro a tiny village, 5 hours south of Fes. It is a great place to overnight to break the long trip from the Sahara Desert to Fes or Meknes. Ali, the owner and manager of the kasbah, cooked us a very tasty chicken & vegetables tajine for dinner. After an excellent breakfast, Ali sent us on our way with a bag full of delicious dates from the local palmeraie.

Outside of bitten track, this place allows you to see original Ksar, Kasba, and ruined French Fort without other tourists. Sounds too good to be true? When everyone is just passing by to Sahara, spending longer here allows ultimate experience. Zechariah will help and point you in the right direction. Highly recommended. Dar Jamila is one of many authentic places in area, clean, comfortable, and so, but location makes it unusual.
