Very welcoming staff, amazing breakfast (fresh and tasty) and really nice roof top. Room was clean and quiet. The location is strategic: just outside the Medina, on a hill but easy to reach by feet (great view): you cannot hear the noise coming from the buzzing old town. Also very close to the river and 15 minutes from Spanish Mosque. We definitely recommend this beautiful hotel!

This riad was easy to find despite the confusing ups and downs of chaouen ! It's also well situated near some eateries just in case you are too cold at night and want to have a quick bite ! The staff are very warm and helpful and gave me recommendations on places to visit and the timings to go there :) remmeber to check out the roof terrace !

The Blue City was frantic and filled with tourists not...

The Blue City was frantic and filled with tourists not really interested in the Medina, i don't know how the vendors made any money, it was too crowded to stop and shop. This endless stream of overdressed self-absorbed visitors (influencers) posing for Instagram is out of control; Every place that gets on the tourist map has this plague. Parking options in the town are very limited, beware of being directed to a bad spot by parking assistants. I would not go back.

I've dreamt about visting Chefchaouen for decades.

I've dreamt about visting Chefchaouen for decades. So despite the one and two-day trips so many guidebooks recommend, I stayed for 5 days to try to get a better sense of this magical place. It was well wworth it

Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city.

Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city. So much to see and do. Spend the morning on a hike and come back for the market and a tagine. I would like to have had a beer but I survived, lol. Our guide Abdul was a beautiful human being. He enriched our trip so much. His deep explanation of Ramadan was an inspiration. The solidarity with all people and the egalitarian aspects were something that I had not formerly considered. It is a bonding with all of humanity. Abdul showed us the secret spots of this ancient city and I am better for it.

Picturesque but very touristy and an excess of street vendors selling many crafts which likely come from China (are not made locally). Extremely hot when we went in July. Very important to get a decent guest house with air conditioning. 2 days is more than enough.

Yes, it's touristy, but it's so particular with all its blue buildings, in the midst of beautiful nature, that it's a must. Be prepared to climb a few hills! Favourite restaurant: The Twins in the square. Had a few good meals just people watching, and really cheap!

Gorgeous city tucked into a hillside. We enjoyed the drive from Tangier. Fabulous city for photos (all the gorgeous shades of blue!). We took a cooking class at Cafe Clock - fun, intimate and we made tons of breads an pastries. For us 1.5 days was plenty of time to explore and enjoy. It's a little bit touristy in areas but worth the visit! one of my friends thoroughly enjoyed a massage and bath at a Hamman too.

Our host has been the most helpful, friendly and welcoming person that we have experienced on our trip to Morocco! Helped us when we got lost finding the place (our own fault) despite the language barrier, made us Moroccan tea as we arrived and has been so lovely to interact with. You would be staying in a traditional blue town house at the top of the medina with a beautiful view of Chefchaouene! This place is amazing value for money, we definitely recommend!!

This hotel is in a great location, very clean and beautiful. The staff member, Oussama was very helpful and took the time to help us with transportation. We saved a lot of money. The meals he prepared were very thoughtful and delicious. They were the best meals I had in Morocco. The soup he cooked was especially delicious, even better than the soup in the restaurant. It made us feel at home. I am really grateful to him.

Great location--close to all the action, but in a quiet street. Great views from the roof terrace. The team running the hotel were very helpful and kind--gave us advice on things to do in Chefchaouene, organised a transfer to Tangier, brought us a fruit plate when it was too hot to go out in the afternoon. Breakfast was very tasty, and the ladies running the restaurant were very kind.
