Staying here was a last minute decision for me and boy did I congratulate myself for it. First off, I was the only guest at the time (female solo traveller) and never did I have any safety worries at any point. The dinner was probably the best tajin I had in Morocco, so flavourful. Lovely kitties everywhere, that was a big bonus. Music circle after dinner around a bonfire which I even participated in with one of their own instruments that they handed to me. Everyone was accepting and embracing. And Ali was an incredible and kind host and a wonderful soul to just talk about life and culture with. They really have nailed the authenticity game here. It is a family run camp and you get immersed in the desert life. You learn a lot from these guys about their culture, way of life, so be curious and take advantage of their openness. Don't go here expecting a 5 star resort and then be disappointed for absolutely no reason - it is a desert camp and this is honestly the best most comfortable or "luxurious" version there can be while still staying authentic. If you have limited time and can't afford to dedicate 2 days to transit to and from Erg Chigaga (one of the two big desert areas/dunes), this absolutely is the place to be.

Sleeping under the stars outsude my tent - on a matress that they put there specially for me. The wood fire in the boma. Music, drumming. The feel and energy of the camp. Timelessness, spacious .. The philosophy of the host. The look of the camp: Tents made of old carpets, yet with doors that can be locked. The communal space: a roof made of 🌴 branches, etc.: to let the cool breeze through Interacting with the camels - part of the family. The way the host interacts with them throughout the day The eco- friendliness Solar power, big water tank on roof. A well that is actually working .. The food! Joining the host in the kitchen while he cooked. Conversations with him (French and a bit of English) Learning more and more about the country, present and past. In the morning: Generous breakfast. Camel ride, custom made for me. Their going the extra mile to organise taxis to and from Zagora This is the REAL thing,. Not touristy. ...The people here;: they are the real stars.

What a great find! Close to Zagora, but out in the country, away from the tourist track, with greenery and birdsong. It was easy to find, following the directions sent to us, and we were warmly welcomed by Ali and Elza. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the little cabin was cozy and comfortable. Ali was very informative and gave us good suggestions for the area. A unique and wonderful place to stay. We'll be back!

The best place we stayed in Morocco! It’s a new hotel, and the room design gives such a sense of peace. Nana Diafa is truly worth every penny. It’s very clean and safe, with a wonderful restaurant area. You wake up to flowers and the beautiful sounds of birds, and a great breakfast is waiting for you. The staff are very attentive and always ready to help. The owner even kindly offered to take us to the airport in the morning we’re so grateful for that. We tried a few options in Zagora, and Nana Diafa is definitely the best!
