I will give this a 10/10 out of how much the owner provided for me. The view outside is amazing, just in front of the lake. So peaceful! So the room was okay. But the best thing for me was that the owner provided me a free tour around the place, watching sunset, crocodiles, bats and owls. He also took me to the atm, supermarket, and picked me up from the bus when arriving. Everything for free. And I can also recommend going with the safari that he is providing. That guide was also amazing, experienced, and affordable.

It was really nice. The surroundings of the hotel were amazing, the owner explained everything so we didn’t miss a thing. We walked around the both lakes near the hotel and saw crocodiles, all kind of birds, etc. the property es super clean and they serve you coffee and tea whenever you want. The owner and his family were really kind, it shows how much they care a about everyone having a good stance. Really friendly, we really liked talking with them. Also no words for the amazing food they cooked. Really nice experience.

Everything was amazing. We can’t think of a single thing that wasn’t perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Upul. He was so kind, and helped us with everything we needed. He is the best! He made us feel so special and welcome. Thank you for everything Upul. You made our stay even better! We didn’t want to leave this place! Everything is clean, beautiful and peaceful. Thank you to the family which provided us this unforgettable stay here in Tissa. They are so friendly and helpful. Furthermore, very clean room and nice view over the lake especially for sunrise. The room was very big and we felt very comfortable. The safari the owner provided was amazing, we saw many animals. We did a sunset tour. To mention: I twisted my ankle some days ago when we were hiking in Ella and the owner of Double Lake View Tissa went with us to a hospital and drove us to pharmacy. This was so kind. Also the food was very nice. Overall, this stay was one of our best we had in Sri Lanka, we would definitely come back again.

The dedication of the the staff at Village Mango Resort was fantastic. They organised our safari tour prepared breakfast to take with us at 0430am. We returned for an exceptional lunch the absolute best home cooked meal we have had in Sri Lanka the Aubergine curry was the best.
