This place is amazing.
This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

It definitely is an experience worth trying.
It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot.
Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities.
It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear

too many jeeps roaming around. 50% of the time we were searching for animals. at some occasions long long jams of jeeps trying to observe leopards and bears
the park is beutiful but
* jeeps number should be limited
* we didnt see a leopard, saw elephants only once, saw a bear briefly only once - for 6 hours in the park we were disappointed

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives...
We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

This is a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Yala. The hotel is in a lovely spot - there is direct access to the beach and the pool overlooks a lake with buffalo, crocodiles, birds etc. The rooms are well equipped, a good size and very comfortable. Dinner is a choice of a la carte or buffet - the buffet food was excellent, very high quality and plenty of choice. The staff were great, very friendly and always smiling and helped us with a late check out.

We arrived on a weekend and the hotel was buzzing hence even thou we requested earlier for connecting rooms and arrived after 2pm our rooms were not ready and we had to wait for 45mins in the lobby for two connecting rooms.
Overall we enjoyed our stay after we finally got our rooms. The hotel was very close to Yala National Park so that was convenient to say the least.
Breakfast was up to Jetwing standard. Pool was great as was the surprise birthday cake for our 6 year old.

We had an excellent stay , very unique setting amongst giant rocky outcrop with a view across the bushland . Our hotel manager Paiyanthi catered to our every need , a very attentive host , made us feel like very special guests. The head chef Nuwan cooked excellent food ,traditional dishes or anything we asked for. Very friendly staff , we will highly recommend staying at Rock wild Yala.
And the swimming pool was beautiful after safari.

Hotel is close to Yala National Park and is ideal for travelers looking for affordable accommodation close to the national park. The facilities are not as great as the big chain hotels, but all the basic amenities are available.

This was a nicely designed hotel, with spacious rooms. Conveniently located for Yala safari pickups. There was even a peacock to greet us every morning outside our balcony!
