This place is amazing.
This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

It definitely is an experience worth trying.
It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot.
Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities.
It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear

too many jeeps roaming around. 50% of the time we were searching for animals. at some occasions long long jams of jeeps trying to observe leopards and bears
the park is beutiful but
* jeeps number should be limited
* we didnt see a leopard, saw elephants only once, saw a bear briefly only once - for 6 hours in the park we were disappointed

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives...
We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

Where to start!
Yakaduru Yala is simply unexplainable, the staff, food and overall experience was fantastic from start to finish. A special mention must go to Nishantha, who spent his time, and knowledge providing us with the most unforgettable stay. If every hotel had a Nishantha, then I’m sure they would be booked out every single night, a remarkable experience, and one everyone must try! All of the staff were very attentive and made you feel very special and they organised a brilliant full day safari for us which was unforgettable.

Chalet room was clean and spacious for 3 adults. Bathroom had amenities and complimentary water and tea/coffee was given. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. Housekeeping made a lovely towel elephant when cleaning our room which was a nice touch.
I would highly recommend booking half board at this hotel as there is no where to eat outside of the hotel grounds so you have no option but to eat at the hotel. Although the lunch and evening food were a disappointment!
Right on the doorstep for Yala National Park.

This is a great hotel to book whilst in Yala! Very good value for money. Huge bed and very comfy and a nice warm shower.
The safari we booked through them was incredible. We saw two leopards, many elephants and a black bear! (And many more beautiful animals). Our safari driver they arranged was particularly great (ask for Rowan!)
They also packed us a lovely little breakfast for the safari.
Highly recommend!

The hotel was lovely. Clean with big rooms and comfortable beds. The food was excellent with a good selection of cuisine.
My room was kept beautifully clean by Supun who went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed to make my stay at Yala was a memorable one.

Beautiful hotel with friendly and caring staff. 20 minutes drive from the Yala national park.
Spacious rooms with very nice view on the rice fields. Food was good but not excellent. The general manager is very caring but sometimes a little bit too much.
