Loved our short stay at Doubletree. The rooms are spacious and the property as a whole was very clean and well maintained. Meals were good but the restaurant staff deserve a special mention - especially Harsha - as he went above and beyond to take care of our family. The pool is a highlight - absolutely huge with an excellent shallow area on one side and swim up pool on the other. Pool staff were very attentive and friendly. Slightly further from the Yala Block 1 and Block 5 entrances but not a dealbreaker. Property as a whole is very luxurious and upscale. Would stay again!

Very comfortable and clean room, we had a very warm welcoming from Jayasingha, restaurant staff Vinuja and Chathura were super friendly, food was good and a very diversified menu, the hotel has a small gym we can use and a nice pool.

Lovely spot to relax on the terrace after a hot day, we had a really good night's sleep and the most delicious rice and curry. It's a good starting point for a safari and you'll get all the help you need from here. The staff is super friendly and helpful!

An exceptional family stay, in December 2024, this was a newly built facility. The family run hotel had a homely atmosphere, everyone was super friendly and polite. The owner has put a lot of thought into the layout and details of the whole hotel. The room are expansive, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The private balconies offer great views over the picturesque rice fields and beyond to the lake. The gardens are teaming with birds. The pool is well maintained, and very welcome after a long journey. The food was super fresh and very tasty, home cooked in a very clean open air kitchen. The owner arranged our Yala safari. We had a very enjoyable stay, in hide sight we should have stayed longer.

The owner is a fantastic man, he was very attentive and respectful. He helped organise transport to Yala and then from Yala, as well as our Safari. He got an excellent Safari driver, which is the key to a good Safari experience. The room was lovely, and dinners were brilliant too. The area has a lake nearby and the locals who live nearby are so welcoming and friendly. I wish we had stayed longer.

This is set in the most beautiful area! Right near a lagoon with so much wildlife as well as nearby local villages. The owner was so helpful and did everything he could to make our stay the best! His wife cooked a brilliant sri Lankan meal for us, including Buffalo curd for desert, which was delicious. He organized a great safari for us at Yala. He also took us out for a tour for about 2 hours around the local area and showed us local wildlife and other important parts, which was amazing! So pretty! This was a small cost and so worth it! If we had time, we would have stayed longer. Beds comfortable, rooms beautiful, lovely balcony at the front of the property. It's one of our favorite stays!

the lady is nice, always smiling. the room is super big, plus extremely clean. super clean. even cleaner than 5 star hotels I stayed! mango juice very nice. taste better than those in restaurants! price very affordable, even it is not in the downtown, but if you rent a car it is also a convenient place.

We stayed in Lavander Home for 2 nights December 30 th and New Years Eve 2024! The place is simply amazing. The house, is totally renewed with great taste and colours that fits very well with the environment. The terrace on the first floor in front of our room door was fantastic and overlooking a large red rice field housed by herons and other beautiful birds. The room was very clean with a large bathroom, nice shower, kettle, hairdryer and free bottle of water provided. The lady that runs the place is really something: always kind, smiling and keen on customer’s need. She provided us laundry service and last but not least she cooked for us our New Years Eve dinner! Everything was very good! Staying in Lavender House in Tissamaharama was really a great and enjoyable experience! A real taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. We highly recommend this place! Again many thanks to the sweet and fantastic lady that runs it!
