We are very happy with the stay in The Waves Unawatuna. The staff was very, very nice and fullfiled our every single wish. The room is very nice and very close to the beach. The location is fantastic. We also hot better room than se ordered! The stay here is fantastic! If you want to relax on the beach or if you want to explore, The Waves is a pláče to stay!

Very cozy Villa away from the crowd. The place is owned and run by a very nice couple . 11/10 customer service felt like a home . The owner even dropped me off to the railway station because it was very early in the morning . The breakfast is continental and quite good.

We highly recommend the Green Escape hotel in Unawatuna. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast is super nice and the pool area is very relaxing. The hotel is a little secluded and you should be aware that you need a tuk tuk to get into town - however, this is easy and cheap.

Location was great, overlooking Galle, Jungle Beach and the ocean. Rooms were comfortable with plenty of space. Meals were great, with an inhouse restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also serve drinks, and you can choose to sit inside or out on the balcony.

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned hotel, pools, beach, restaurants, bars, lobbys are equally catering to customer service points. We had our best hotel experience at Araliya Unawatuna. Even met the owner and had a generous chat during breakfast which is so touching and personalized service standard I believe. Easy to visit Galle Fort, just a walk to the golden sandy beaches. Staff from top management to the ground staff is well trained to give excellent customer care. We specially thanking to our 7th flour room service staff who simply helped us in technical support, bars and restaurant staff and Nethmi & Dakshika and all wonderful reception staff memebers.

Small village with the best Ocean I've ever seen/feel. Only Ocean is enough for me to spent here a month. And nothing to do without Ocean. The rests are good, but not exceptional, no museums or viewpoints, a few attractions maybe wildlife nature, but not more.

Wonderful beach.

Wonderful beach. Unawatuna is tropical bliss: golden crescent beach, clear snorkeling waters, and a relaxed vibe. The beachfront villa was stylish, spotless, with ocean-view balconies and perfect sunrise views. Prime location—steps to the shore, near cafes and jungle paths, yet peaceful. Flawless in every way.

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as...

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as calm as it would normally be (or so the locals told us) but you could still go into the sea but maybe not for too long. We enjoyed ambling around the town and going into Gaul more. We used the pool at our hotel more than the beach here.

All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

Great place to go we stayed three nights I would stay less. Slightly more expensive than Mirrisa and the tourist are mainly Russian. Turtle beach is great. Recommend as best place to see turtles for free .

Great place to stay. Located a bit out of town, but you can walk to Unawatuna beach in 15/20mins and Turtle beach in 10mins. The view on the ocean from the room is very nice and the room has a good bed and warm shower. Next to all this, is the very warm and friendly staff. They helped us out with our tuktuk together with some other tuktuk drivers that are always around the corner. For breakfast it would be nice if they could offer also more Sri Lankan next to the toast, fruit and egg.

We stayed here for 4 days after a bus tour around sri lanka. It was the perfect place to stop and relax. The hotel has 8 rooms and is perfectly located to access the beach, restaurants and shops. The owners and staff are delightful. The breakfasts (included) are nice with the option of Sri Lankan or English style breakfast – we went the Sri Lankan - with plenty of food. They were finishing off a wood fires pizza oven whilst we were there. Unfortunately, we left before it was finished
