It was a pleasure to stay at Leel's Safari Cottage! Leel, Nameli and Leel's Mother are such heartful persons, we had a lot of fun together! The rooms are very new and have a nice view to the garden which is wunderful! Make the Safari Tour with Lee, he has very good knowledge, and gives his best to give you the most special experience. He showed us so many animals! Also the food his mother and wife are cooking is very delicious! His taxi driver sameera is also great.We highly recommend this place, and hope we come back soon! Beautiful place to stay, with amazing attention to detail, from the artwork to the homemade soap. The staff made us feel so welcome and the service was thoughtful and lovely, nothing was too much. Last minute organising a safari for us, which was amazing! Food was delicious and as good as the reviews we had read. Cannot recommend this place more and wish we had organised a longer stay here than the one night we stayed. They even gifted us some flowers for our stay! Also loved the dogs too.

I have been travelling through Sri Lanka for 3 weeks now. This place is, hands down, the best I have stayed at. The location is excellent and so are the facilities. The rooms are bright, spacious and very clean. Everything (such as faucets, air conditioning, etc) is not only in good working order but also of good quality. It's a new hotel with an inviting pool, what is there more to wish for... Well, as great as this place is, its biggest asset is the manager. He understands the importance of personalized service! A big thank you to him and all his staff for making me feel so welcome.

I was choosing accomodation in Udawalawe very carefully becouse we wanted to have a really nice time there. Luckily I ended up with Wild Lake Side becouse this place is amazing! Extremely nice and friendly owner, amazing new room with spectacular river view, delicious dinner and great safari experience. We booked safari tour here and our driver was amazing! He did a really great job and thanks to him and his experiences, we saw many animals. I recommend to book 7 hours safari. We were worried if it is not too long but it wasn't. We had enough time to just watch animals and no rush like other jeeps with 4 hours safari and also had amazing breakfast in the national park which was one of the nicest memory. We regret we didn't stay longer.

Nice owner. They arranged our safari tour, and the owner joined us at the safari. He managed to see a lot of animals, specific different birds which were almost impossible to discover in the jungle. They also provided a good dinner for us. The breakfast was also very good and fresch. The rooms were clean and comfy.

This place is one of my favorites in Sri Lanka! It was such a beautiful surprise! Calm area, very nice outdoor setting, the room was very spacious (as was the bathroom!) So let's talk details: - Food: Amazing! Home cooked food, with candlelight and the sounds of nature! - Safari: He was a very good company during my trip! He gave me some tips, was very flexible with my requests. - Helpfulness: Arranged a taxi to my next destination, Overall, it was totally worth it, you will really enjoy it! !

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay! Our host Ravidu is a very kind man, he welcomed me and my girlfriend into his family. We will forever be grateful for the special memories created there. His wife cooked us delicious traditional Sri Lankan food at night. Thank you very much ☺️ The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is spacious and very clean. It was nice to have a place to hang out on the terrace. There are many beautiful plants around the property that give it a jungle feel. We saw many tropical birds around. I 100% recommend booking a safari through Ravidu, he partners with a guide with many years of experience. The safari guide was knowledgeable about the animals and different species we saw on the safari. He was very respectful of the wildlife and drove slowly through the park unlike other jeeps..!!

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking...

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking distance to Udawalawe Handhi. The room is beautifully designed with huge glass windows to appreciate nature. Very clean. The host welcomed us warmly, and I must mention: this is where we had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka. It was provided to us for free.. Thank you!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House! It is located about 5 minutes from the entrance of Udawalawe Park and is in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe.

The accommodation in this place has magical peace and quiet.

The accommodation in this place has magical peace and quiet. The cabin is clean, air conditioned. Our host in the main building prepared us excellent Sri Lankan food. He is a wonderful, smiling and funny man with a wonderful family. We decided to go on a safari, which he helped us organize. As promised, our guide spoke good English and was able to identify animals that we would not have seen on our own. We highly recommend this place!

We stayed here to go to Udawalawe national park. It was a perfect location for it, situated about a ten minute drive away. The hotel can assist with organising the safari for you. We had the buffet dinner which was tasty and reasonably priced in comparison to some other hotels we stayed in. The staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel had very chilled vibes. We thought the noise from the jungle would keep us up at night but the room was silent. The bed was very comfy and we slept very well here.

Our family of four had a lovely stay at this property. The property is located in a quiet location with great balcony overlooking rice fields. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - assisting with transport to and from the property and arranging a very enjoyable day safari to udawalawe National Park. We also enjoyed delicious Sri Lankan dinners plus a special breakfast with our hosts on Sinhalese New Year's Day.

Located about a km from the entrance to Udawlawe National Park. A new hotel - currently the 1st floor accommodation is not open - with a nice pool and a very pleasant outdoor dining area. Good food - you need to give 90 minutes notice if you want the Sri Lankan curry, which I would recommend. Value for money is off the scale.
