The best stay we had in Sri Lanka! The room and all the facilities were so comfortable. Room was a bit small but enough to rest, bathroom was enormous and probably the best I've seen in Sri Lanka. The host was very attentive, he welcomed us with fruit from his own garden - lovely!

The staff and host in this property could not have been any kinder. We were able to get our laundry done for a very fair price and the host even made us a packed breakfast as we had to leave very early morning on our departure. The location was very close to the beach and a short ride to the secret beach.

It was so enjoyable stay in lagoon gate. Caring service by all stuff is on highest level. We will never forget hospitality that we were met late at night when we arrived at the hotel. Speciality of this place is very tasty prawns and seafood that you will never find in tangalle. My very special thanks to Lali and Salinda for satisfying all the requests. And cooking man for breakfasts and very good coffee, i dont even figure out what is the secret of it ))

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners are warm and friendly the beach is terrific and we swam in the ocean numerous times ( you need to be confident in the ocean ). The staff are exceptional and their different personalities shine through. This should always be encouraged, staff are people and should be treated with respect and staff here seemed to be at ease which we personally liked. Next to the staff we really rate the food. The coconut cake was heaven on a plate ..... order it if you see it on the menu. The owner allowed us to be part of his birthday celebrations ..... how nice of him & his wife. Lovely lovely people. We would happily return. Final word is to the troop of pets. They seem well looked after and that warmed us to this establishment straight away !!!

Pradeep is a very thoughtful host. He offered huge breakfasts that were different every day and accommodated the needs of our baby. The house was so nice with a balcony with a nice view. The location was terrific.

If you end up in this beautiful part of Sri Lanka, that's the accommodation you should book without thinking twice. Position is great (in the middle of a beautiful rural area and walking distance from the gorgeous Rekawa Beach), super good value for money and amazing host (here with had some of the best meals of our trip). Recommended the kayak experience at the nearby lake and the scooter rental to explore the nice beaches in the area.
