We stayed at Thuruliya Hotel for one night and loved it. The hotel has incredible views, and we enjoyed seeing the waterfalls and tea fields on the way from Nanu Oya station. The staff were very kind, and the restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes.

The hotel is of course old, but the team is excellent - the rooms are renovated, the plumbing and bathroom are new and comfortable, there is hot water. The Windows overlook the road, but the view is of the mountains and greenery. The noise from the road is not audible if you close the windows. Breakfasts and dinners are super delicious. You can also order lunches. A wonderful woman cooks, you can warn about your preferences in advance - in general, all questions and wishes can be quickly and clearly resolved through Farvees (Operations Coordinator). The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need and an electric kettle and tea. Around the mountains, waterfalls and tea plantations factories, temples - we specially returned to these places after a trip to Noir Elia and Ella. The hotel itself has a lot of common comfortable spaces in the fresh air and under the roof - you can be alone or gather a company at the table, we used free billiards for guests. Special thanks to the Beautiful Shiva for an interesting and informative tour. The hotel has a good natural cosmetics and tea shop.

we spent an amazing weekend at this place. The staff prepared a very nice room for us with decorations and fruits in honor of our honeymoon. The atmosphere in this place is amazing! This is an absolutely amazing place in Nuwara Eliya. Our room was with a huge view terrace. We were lucky that during the 3 days of our stay, the weather was sunny all the time and we managed to use this terrace to the maximum. Yoga at sunset, sunbathing at noon or contemplating the beautiful starry sky at night.. The views were really magnificent. The room itself also exceeded all expectations: the bed was so comfortable, and the wooden interior was very cozy. Also, all these fresh flowers, with which the owners carefully decorate everything.. We were impressed. Amazing host! He helped us in general on all issues. Especially with regard to transfers everywhere. They have the opportunity to organize a tuk-tuk at a real price, without extra charge. It is very valuable and convenient The food was simply incomparable, and there was just a huge amount of it! If there hadn't been so much hiking during our trip, we probably would have gained 2-3 kilos with all these fourth or fifth courses for dinner and a double dessert :))) But it's so delicious! I highly recommend taking dinners here, the homemade food is just a delight. I especially remember the ice cream :) The breakfasts were also wonderful and large. You won't stay hungry for sure)) I recommend it to everyone with absolute confidence!

I love this place and people here, the owners are the most amazing people, they helped me with everything, I felt at home here. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The food is fantastic, they have their own restaurant where you can order anything, anytime. The surroundings are amazing, there is a river where you can refresh yourself. The accommodation is located near tea plantations, waterfalls in Ramboda and the surroundings are beautiful! I highly recommend!

Lavender House is a charming retreat overlooking lush tea plantations, offering an experience that feels more like staying in a beautifully maintained private home than a hotel. We traveled as a family and initially stayed in two rooms in the main building. Midway through our stay, we were generously upgraded to their expansive three-bedroom villa, which features a private terrace, hot tub, and dining area. Though more contemporary in style, the villa offered an equally special and memorable experience. What truly sets Lavender House apart, however, is the outstanding hospitality. Under the expert leadership of Saman, the manager, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their attention to detail was remarkable—they anticipated our needs, checked in on us regularly, and even accompanied us on excursions. A special mention goes to Viduna, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. Dining at Lavender House was another highlight. Each day, Chef Shantha and his talented kitchen team consulted with us about our preferences for breakfast and dinner, crafting exquisite Sri Lankan and Western dishes as well as high teas. The level of personalized service was extraordinary, making every meal a delight. For relaxation, the hotel offers spa treatments that can be enjoyed either outdoors or in the privacy of your room. The masseur, Supun, is truly gifted—his massages were so exceptional that we booked four treatments during our stay. Highly recommended! The team also curated engaging activities that made our visit even more special. We embarked on two scenic hikes—one to a local waterfall and another to the breathtaking vantage point of Peacock Hill.

We stayed for two nights in the second week of December. The staff were so friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the environment beautiful. We also had heaters. Note: The food will not be delayed. If you call the reception to order and let them know the time, they will be punctual. We asked them to bring breakfast to our room at 9 AM, and they arrived on time. This was the same for both dinner and lunch. We did not experience any delays
