My family and I, a group of seven from Canada, recently had the pleasure of staying at Houseboats by DAE in Bolgoda, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. The houseboat we stayed on offered the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The rooms were not only spacious but also beautifully designed, making our stay incredibly relaxing. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, with dishes that catered perfectly to our taste buds. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the quality and flavor of the food consistently impressed us. During our stay, we enjoyed two cruises each day through the picturesque Bolgoda waterways. The early morning cruise was particularly breathtaking as we were greeted by the serene beauty of nature waking up. We spotted numerous birds and even got a glimpse of the stunning sunrise. The sunset cruise, on the other hand, provided a different yet equally mesmerizing experience as we sailed through the calm waters with the sky painted in shades of orange and pink. The entire experience was beyond our expectations, and if given the chance, we would gladly stay here 100 times over. Houseboats by DAE in Bolgoda is a gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay

At the time of our stay they were building a descent size pool. It would be nice once finished. Private and quite area. Acess to motorways to go down south or Kandy side was easy from nearest town of Piliyandala.

I have visited this villa on 31st of January.I'm happy to say that this hotel give us a good experience and prices are very fair.The location is very near to the town and easy to find.Also rooms are comfortable and very clean.also they have very big garden and it fill up with calming vibe.They provide us a very good breakfast.Specially I wanted to thanks to the hotel staff. Silva received us at 5am. He made wonderful Sri Lankan omelettes and string hoppers. He served us tea in the afternoon. We felt very much cared for. Benjamin and his wife were telling us where we could go in addition to our own program. It was a great place to be.

This hotel is a truly wonderful place – both a destination and a retreat. The existing architecture has been beautifully restored, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring Colombo. Coming back here really does feel like coming home – the hotel lives up to its name in every sense. What really stood out for me was the warm and genuinely friendly nature of the staff – and of the owner himself, if you’re lucky enough (as I was) to meet him and his wife in person. Every little request is handled with great care and kindness at La Maison de Colombo. For me, it was an exceptional stay – one I can wholeheartedly recommend. The fact that the hotel isn’t right in the city centre actually turns out to be a huge plus – it’s wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night. That said, getting into Colombo and seeing the sights is easy – whether you hop on a local bus, grab a tuk-tuk, or take a taxi. All in all, an unforgettable experience – and excellent value for money! Very stylish and warm-hearted!
