This was our favourite stay in a month of Sri Lanka! The room was perfect and looked brand new, Nice and big with a fan and amazing AC. Good location off a quiet road away from the busy main streets so always slept well. Breakfast was always amazing, loved the Dahl and pancakes - brought to your table outside your room each morning. Family were amazing and super helpful - helped us sort out scooter rental for a good price straight away and sorted out somebody to do our laundry for us during our stay.

I stayed for 3 weeks or so. Long enough to get to know Shan, the owner, his family, and Hiriketiya. The house is 5 minutes walk to the beach. You eat breakfast (I recommend banana pancakes) overlooking the bay surrounded by palms. Shan and his team couldn't have been more helpful. The house is spacious. Well maintained, perfect for a couple. It was really good to have the big dining table to host the new friends I made. It's about ten minutes walk along the beach to the centre. Far enough that you feel at peace but not far enough you are isolated.

The place is super close to Hiriketiya Beach ( around 8 minute walk) and all the cool spots around, yet it’s very quiet and offers plenty of privacy. The room was spacious, with a comfy big bed, AC, and a kitchenette with a fridge. Nice spacious bathroom. Very clean place with an amazing and welcoming staff. They welcomed me with a fresh coconut, helped with laundry, and were very helpful throughout my stay. Also the internet was great!

Halcyon is a new hotel with a great pool and an incredible location right at the beach. The beach invites for walks and also swimming as the waves are not too big. The staff are attentive and the service is excellent. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. The design of the entire hotel is beautiful and thought through to the last detail. The hotel has sup boards and kayaks which can be used to explore the lagoon right behind. And the owner has many very useful tips for exploring the area, and sri lanka. It is a great place to start your holiday, for couples and for families too.
