The best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The people were amazing, the rooms were beautiful, and the food was even better. We also did a hiking tour with the hotel’s guide, which was an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying for at least two days — it takes about two hours to drive up the mountain, and you’ll want a full day to explore the beautiful surroundings. Please go ahead and book — it’s absolutely wonderful!

Everything was amazing. We stayed in the suite, it was so beautiful, huge room and terrace with amazing views! The pictures don’t do justice to this place, it is way more beautiful. Our kids stayed in a normal room, it was small but comfortable and clean. The staff is simply wonderful, always ready do help and always kind and happy. The food was really, really good.

Amazing little paradise. Very nice and helpful staff and the best place to have a few relaxing days. You habe to be mindful of the fact that it is quite a way to Kandy city center, but we loved the fact that after a day in and around the hectic city we could return to a refreshing and peaceful retreat.

The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.

Recently visited, had the most amazing unique experience. One of the best Villa I have visited. food is amazing, however the variety is less. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The staff is very friendly and service is really good. Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles was nothing short of magical! As part of our Sri Lankan tour, we arrived on 07/07/2025, and from the moment we stepped into this peaceful retreat, we felt completely at home. We requested a guided hike, a nature walk, and an educational tour focused on the rich flora and fauna of the Knuckles region—and the team delivered beyond our expectations. Every experience was thoughtfully curated, offering the perfect balance of adventure and insight. The infinity pool with its breathtaking mountain views quickly became our favorite spot to relax. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were a true culinary delight, bursting with flavor and tradition. One of the most memorable evenings was spent by the crackling bonfire, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner under the stars—pure magic! Thank you to the wonderful hosts at Royal Mountain Edge for creating such a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable experience. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and a deep appreciation for this hidden gem. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful escape into nature!

We received a very warm welcome when arriving late in the evening. The hosts arranged a family dinner so we could relax which was delicious . I got sick before my group arrived and they offered to drive me to a doctor. The homestay is immaculate. Very clean, hot showers, comfortable beds and cool AC. Thank you for your hospitality
