Still very good to reach by tuk tuk, by train: from Colombo to Jaffna stop Parasanfaswewa - railwaystation S. Titon. Etc. 5 minutes from busstop. From Anuradhapura busstation bus no 861. Stop Paradanjaswewa, Jambirija Swewa road. Or bus nr 161. Busstop Village Garden Inn, Ithalakotiyawrwa. More information to get from host 071-3121570 (0094). If you stay a week or more a kitchen can be used. Every day around 18.00 hours you can see elephants quite nearby at one of the thee lakes. 2 or 3 or 6. Very exiting. They come to drink water. This was our first stop in our 10 day journey across Sri Lanka and they really set the bar very high. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. The food was delicious! After a day of visiting all the historical places in Anuradhapura this hotel had the perfect atmosphere to wind down and relax. Very highly recommend!

The place is beautiful, in the middle of nature with many trees around and a lot of birds, this is very peace. The food is very good, you should try their kothu and rice curry, delicious! The staff was very helpful and attentive and we felt like home there! We originally booked a balcony room upstairs and they offered another room downstairs which was more convenient for us. I definitely recommand this place for few nights.

The place is very beautiful and the owner and his family are very kind. We went here for 1 night and we were so pleased that we stayed 4 nights. The rooms , the garden , all is very clean , quite and pleasant . We used bicycle to go to the wonderful and splendid archaeological site of Mihintale and to the lake.

The hotel is in a convenient location and easy to reach. The hospitality of the staff was excellent - they were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. It was our best accommodation in 4 weeks in Sri Lanka! We stayed in a separated little cottage, was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, it's situated upon the little rock,so you feel the air, and it was not humid, nice garden and absolutely delicious breakfast ( you can order what you wish) and evening meals at a cosy terrace!! And of course wonderful friendly personal, very helpful and sweet! Also important for travellers- free of charge water bottles and !! making your laundry!! Super recommended!!! PS : you can rent the bikes to go to the temples and around the lakes,with we did and liked it so much!
