We loved our stay at THIS IS NOT A HOTEL Mawella. We got a great discount because It's a newly set up guesthouse, everything is new and clean and the rooms were tastefully done. The place was a couple of minutes walk from Mawella Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. It's such a quiet and pristine beach and we loved exploring Mawella and the nearby beaches. And it's also only 15 mins away from Hiriketiya, which is a much busier beach town in the area. So the location is great as you kind of get the best of both worlds here. They also arranged transport for us. We are considering coming back at the end of our Sri Lanka trip before we go back home.

A few hundred meters from Blow Hole there is a beautiful house on the seafront with a beautiful beach. The rooms are new, some with direct sea views. They have modern toilets with bidets. We stayed there for a few days and it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was very clean and nice. Also the staff was amazing. Everyone was helpful and very sweet to talk to. Especially an elder man with glasses. He was so lovely. Would definently go back and can only recommend. Also the beach is literally in the backyard. The surfer beach is also only a kilometer from the hotel so you can also walk over there.

We had a fantastic stay! Anupama was an exceptional host—warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and came with a super clean and modern washroom, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Tangalle Beach and only a 10-minute drive to the Silent Beach. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so finding great food was never an issue. The breakfast Anupama prepared was absolutely delicious and filling—it was a perfect start to our days. Overall, the hospitality and comfort exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tangalle!

The room was spotless, with a spacious and comfortable bed. The linens and towels were refreshed regularly, and the air conditioning kept everything cool and pleasant. The bathroom was well-equipped with a mirror. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a fridge, kettle, utensils, and a stove, which made cooking easy. We’ve truly never met sweeter hosts, and this place felt like a home away from home!

I had a fantastic stay here! The room was amazing and the staff were very accommodating with my late arrival and let me keep my bags there after check out so I could explore. Great location, very close to the beach and lots of lovely restaurants. The room was perfectly clean and I had a great nights sleep, very good AC and fan - I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Wonderful place, done with attention to every detail. There are only 3 rooms so it's not a crowded hotel. Rooms really have a great sea view, breakfast is amazing (although it's not Sri Lankan). Highly recommend !
