The owner is very friendly.The hotel is next to the national park.You can see many animals there.The dishes are also very delicious.They also organize Safari trips.Although we didn't see leopard, we also saw other animals.I highly recommend everyone to live here.

Gem of a place. As mentioned in other reviews the rooms are basic BUT comfortable and clean. For the price they are more than perfect. The setting itself was wonderful - right by the lake, surrounded by wildlife. In the evening, the host took us by tuktuk/scooter for a free tour of the lakes where we saw varans, bats, many birds including two beautiful owls !, and even a (harmless) snake. I booked my Yala safari with the host the day before and we could tell that the driver was more experienced than others. We saw all the wildlife one could see in Yala - leopards, crocodiles, varans, many birds, elephants, mongooses and even a sloth bear ! Perfect place, I'm happy I choose it.

The absolute BEST place we stayed during our month long travel around Sri Lanka! It's understandable why Black Panther has only 10/10 reviews! They deserve it! - Room and bathroom were immaculately clean. - The bed was big, long and comfortable. The sheets were super soft and the pillows perfect. Everything felt brand new. - The A/C and ceiling fan both worked very well. - Drying rack provided in the room. - Flat screen TV with English and Sports channels available. - Water heater in the shower. - Dinner and desserts were different and delicious each evening. - Property is gated. It is off the main road so it was quiet at night and we slept great. - Free bicycles to use. - The safaris we booked with them were amazing! The breakfast/lunch/snacks/fruit/bottles of water the home-stay provided for these was unbelievable and way more than we could eat. They also provided us with binoculars which were definitely appreciated. The owners were beyond kind and helpful with everything and anything needed. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable and it felt like they truly only wanted the best stay/safaris/meals/everything for us. The information and all the different things to do and see in Tissamaharama they provided all turned out to be incredible and places we'll never forget. We definitely recommend staying here!!!

One of the best accomodation excperiences we’ve ever had. It was so much more than just a place to stay. From the moment we met our hosts we were made to feel like part of the family. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and their hospitality never ceased to amaze. As if a beautifully maintained, quiet, calm and meticulously clean property in addition to some amazing food were not enough, the host showed us places we would never have found on our own. Its speaks for itself that the safary in Yala National Park was not even half as interesting as the late night tour our host gave us in his village. The highlight of our stay was the Vesak celebration witch we would never have seen without our host. Thank you so much! May you be blessed!

Location, Staff, food, facilities everything is so so good. The staff were so lovely and welcomed us with a tender coconut welcome drink even though we reached there a little late. We ordered dinner, and without hesitation, they prepared it for us. I travelled with elderly family members with so many dietary restrictions, they accompanied us with smiles. Sampath our chef there is amazing and so humble. The whole place is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden full of flowers. Overall, we started our Srilanka trip in this place, they have us a positive vibration and a good vibe for our entire trip. I strongly recommend this place whether you travel alone or with your family. Additionally, book a safari with them, great drivers are available to make your Yala Safari memorable trip as well.
