We stayed here for 4 nights and we loved the family atmosphere! The hosts Avi and Sabina are sooooooo nice. We felt very comfortable and welcomed from the first second! Also their three dogs and one cat are super cute! Avi and Sabina helped us out in every situation, they were always at the property to support us and they cook sooo yummy breakfast/dinner! Wow, props to you! It’s also vegan friendly which we loved :) One night Avi put a beamer on and we could watch a movie outside with the other guests, which was pretty cool. The bungalow is sweet decorated , there is an AC, fan, big and comfortable bed and big bathroom. A room to relax and feel comfortable. The own terrace was cool to hang out, read a book or have breakfast. We got a wonderful Christmas Dinner, all self made by our hosts and their staff. The staff is also super friendly and helpful! It’s located close to the beach. There is also many restaurants and shops nearby. All in all we can definitely recommend staying here as long as possible :) thank you 🙏🏽🥰

Right on the beach where you could swim easily especially in the morning before the waves got bigger. Rooms were good with the resort garden still full of trees with a resident parrot and squirrel I like some where they have concreted over everything. Nice small pool if the waves are too big for you. Easy beach walks past fishing villages and access to kite surfing places if that is what you are looking for.

Very nice place, good welcome from the owner. Room with view and terrace, clean, quiet. I recommend ! Besides, the owner propose Kitesurf lesson. I learnt with him for 3 days, good teacher and kind !

Firstly The room was so beautiful nice and clean and we really liked it. And the staff was so friendly thank you so much for everything..❤️ fantastic facilities, great views and super friendly and helpful staff. Food was great too - breakfast and dinner was great, big portions alert!!Fantastic for weekends and longer stays. Great location enjoyed staying there.. we mostly enjoyed in the pool such a massive pool.loved it so much.. great and lovely service .. going to come again and again❤❤❤again thank you so much for everything 💗

Gorgeous place. Loved the pool surrounded by coconut trees, lovely seating looking out to the marsh/ lagoon. Can walk to the beach from the property but have to walk further on to the nicer parts of the beach. Rooms very tasteful design and amazing outdoor bathroom. Super clean. Food was also incredible. A lot of options and very good quality. Staff were very helpful and lovely. Would definitely come back !

I loved my stay at Melheim resort. I had the flu whilst there & the manager kindly picked me up dome medication. The setting is stunning, such a peaceful place by the sea to rest & restore myself.

Amazing stay ! The location is just a few meters from the beach, the rooms are simple but very clean and confortable and the staff is super friendly and always there to help ! Also the breakfast was big and very tasty, as well as the meals ! I would recommend Scoop cabana without hesitation

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination.

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination. It's the only place in Sri Lanka where you can take kitesurfing lessons and safely practice kitesurfing with expert assistance from seasoned local kitesufers. Although it's generally considered an arid landscape, even in August, one of the driest months in Sri Lanka, it was largely green and without sweltering heat. Probably, the strong wind causes the heat to dissipate. There's a long stretch of fairly clean beach to explore. Many hotels to stay in and many restaurants to dine at. If you take the train from the Colombo fort railway station like me, you can get down at Palaviya station and walk about 100 metres to reach the road leading from Palaviya to Kalpitiya and take a bus from there and then get down at either Kurinjipitiya or Kalpitiya depending on where you plan to visit and/or stay in. Apart from Kitesurfing, you can go sightseeing, see dolphins, bask in the sunshine, take boat tours, cycle and more in Kalpitiya.

Kalpitiya is a very beautiful destination.

Kalpitiya is a very beautiful destination. A place to stay for a few days. There are many places for you to enjoy and visit. But be careful when you find a place to stop. Be more careful with low-cost places. Dinuda Villas is a very beautiful place. Babzy and the team are doing very well.

We planed our trip for three days.

We planed our trip for three days. There are several places to visit in Kalpitiya. We went to Kalpitiya Dutch fort, also Kalpitiya Dutch church. St. Anne's National Shrine is located nearby. It is known as Thalawila Church too. No matter what religion you follow, St. Anne’s Church in Thalawila is one of the most ancient and wonderful of all Christian shrines in Sri Lanka. Our third day was very exiting because we planned a boat ride to Baththalangunduwa island. Baththalangunduwa is an island off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka, reachable from Kalpitiya. The boat ride from Kalpitiya is roughly 32 kilometers long and takes approximately 3.5 hours. Camping on this island is becoming increasingly popular among local tourists.

A beautiful seaside destination with lagoon after lagoon, beautiful unspoiled beaches stretching one into another, and wind wind wind and more wind! An efficient surf repair shop to boot; what more can one ask for?

We were very disappointed with the dulux room which we were...

We were very disappointed with the dulux room which we were initially allocated. The were 4 beds in a double room. It was very dirty, rusted chairs, stained table, badly stained curtains and dirty bathroom. Pictures were sent to the owner and he upgraded us the next day to another building which were much better with a cost of £30 extra daily fro the 2 rooms we had booked. The place itself is in the middle of nowhere and is accessed by a dirt and very bouncy road. No snorkelling or swimming could be enjoyed in the muddy‘lagoon’

Beautiful beaches, almost empty because it is not the season. We spent only two days but to explore all at least 3 four days are necessary. As for food not much options were available and did not see any well functioning restaurants in town. The resorts have their own restaurants but everything looks pretty basic due to low tourist count I guess these days

Excellent place to stay during kite holidays in Kalpitiya. By motorboat I was transported everyday to kite beach and back to the resort, the lunch was brougt at the beach too, the staff of the resort was extremely nice and very helpful, they have a kite center managed by instructor Mr. Matt, who is professional kitesurfing teacher. The food was amazing. Resort is situated right at the kiting lagoon. Recommended !
