We had a lovely stay here for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable. You could tell the place had been recently renovated. On top of that the staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed (e.g. providing extra towels)

Amazing location. Literally less than 1 min to the beach. Caring, attentive host. The host is so welcoming and happy to help with anything. Amazing food. Breakfast is incredible and very generous. Would really recommend having dinner at the guesthouse at least once as it’s the most amazing Sri Lankan home cooked food and very reasonably priced!!

We loved everything here. Very charming property by the beach with really beautiful furnitures and very comfortable. The staff is amazing, they are caring, they do everything for you to feel good and have the best experience. They spot every detail for you. The chef deserves a micheline star. It is with great pleasure that I leave a review about the Sunrise Pasikuda Hotel! My family and I spent a wonderful 11 days-I didn't want to leave! The two-room family room turned out to be very large and comfortable: 2 bathrooms, a bathroom, comfortable ergonomic mattresses, clean linen, all(!) possible accessories for personal care and hygiene, coffee and tea in the mini-bar, which was replenished in the morning and evening, room cleaning 2 times a day, a spacious terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture, views of the beach and tropical park. Two small two-storey buildings of the hotel are located on the huge green territory of Sunrise Pasikuda Park, with giant palm trees and many other trees and plants, which adjoins a wide beach with snow-white sand. One of the best beaches we've ever seen. The beach is snow-white, spacious with a very hospitable ocean! The entrance to the ocean is on fine sand and a shallow bottom, without waves, which allows you to swim all day in peace. The part of the beach belonging to Sunrise Pasikuda has comfortable sun beds with soft mattresses and towels, which are kindly provided by the hotel. Sprawling trees with a vast and dense crown serve as a real salvation from the midday sun – thanks to the hotel staff for taking care of these beautiful trees. There is also a huge swimming pool on the territory of the hotel, which extends throughout the park: from the hotel buildings to the coastline. Fresh shower. Delicious breakfasts in the lobby restaurant. From the usual omelets to Ceylon exotics; an abundance of pastries, tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices. We really want to thank all the staff of the hotel! The management of the hotel, the staff of the restaurant, the beach, the rooms, the gardeners, the reception. You have given us an unforgettable, wonderful experience! We did everything possible to solve our everyday problems and at the same time left the opportunity to be alone with our family and our journey.

Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka!

Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka! The water here has an amazing emerald colour and it is very clean, transparent. It is a very long and beautiful sandy beach with a free natural spirit, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed swimming almost all the day! No tourist attractions but some restaurants like Laya Waves are and Swiss Cafe on the shore are the options. Kalkudah works fine for yoga, meditation, walking along, etc. There are some cows and their manure in some spots, but it is better than plastic garbage. Some days the waves were bigger than Passikuda, but no corals on Kalkudah. Comparing to Passikuda we liked Kalkudah much better. Passikuda is over crowded with a long chain of luxury hotels and is not as beautiful. Anyway if anyone is coming with children Passikuda has shallow waters, as well as some tourists attractions. In any case, on Kalkudah one can dig a hole in the sand for children, where the ocean water will come, while making the natural baths that way.

Very cosy and natural place where you can get a good comfort for little money. It is very close to both Kalkudah and Passikuda beaches; we prefered Kalkudah beach because it was clean, natural, and not crowded, unlike Passikuda. There is a fruit aurvedic garden with papaya, bananas where one can see monkeys sometimes. Cabanas are comfortable and nice. Arun is very hospitable, he provided meals for our hamsters. They cooked very tasty dinners.

Hotel Krish is the best value for money we have found in Sri Lanka. The room is clean and comfortable, the bathroom is modern and huge (has cold water only) and you’re a 1 minute walk from a lovely peaceful beach. Pasikudah Beach is a quick drive up the road. On arrival, we organised and paid for our dinner (amazing huge and fresh prawns with fried rice) and breakfast. Our host was really lovely and a great cook.

Kumu looked after us perfectly. We had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka with loads of fruit and she prepared a superb rice and curry for dinner. Holiday Beach Guesthouse is 5 minutes walking from the beach, which is great and where there are only few people. The property is tidy and the garden peaceful. Our villa was well maintained and comfortable. We hope to come back!
