The staff were incredible, going out of their way to ensure we had a great time and everything we wanted. Property is a bit of a walk from the beach, with a rural outlook. But our hosts drove us where we wanted via tuktuk so it was no hassle. Peaceful and quiet where you can see buffalo, monkeys, fish eagles etc. Nice pool that the kids loved.

Perfect spot on the beach. Clean rooms and super tidy outside. Even for Europa standard. Dont be fooled by the bad looking backside. Not going to live there. This place is amazing. All the staff is super friends! Rooms are for the price super and while we stay there uppgrades was undergoing. The beach outside is 10 meters away and is clean.

Amazing experience! Location is perfect for people who like to have an affordable and quite place for themselves in paradise. You will have your own beach and your own restaurant with mostly traditional food. Accomodation is basic but cosy, clean and comfortable. Room is spacious with nice bed, very good AC, cattle and fridge. Huge window with romantic sea view and bathroom is big and clean. Restaurant will serve you delicious breakfast, excellent fresh juices (ask for local kirala-mangrove apple with young cocconut), cold refreshments and tasty meals made with local veggies, sea food, chicken or pork. Place is run by local youth, so you might get a beach volleyball game with boys who will also help you to go around, rent a scooter, teach some sinhala. There is top ayurvedic center in close vicinity. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Sea Turtles Bungalow in Iduruwa. The property has a beautiful colonial-style charm with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, making the stay very comfortable. They also have a really good spa which was very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of options, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Iduruwa Beach. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway

Everything! Brand new very good quality mattress, airy and bright room, lots of attention to detail, Inc Tv Inc prime video. It’s very close to a superb beach, which is lovely even off season, for walks. The host, Ankie, took me for a drive through Bentota, Aluthgama and Beruwala. I took the train from Induruwa to Hikkaduwa, it was an old train but I loved it !

Where do we start?! We were welcomed to Villa Janaliya by the whole family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we wanted. We have found this to be the general rule for Sri Lankan hospitality, but at Villa Janaliya; it was another level again. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped us book days out, get the best prices, gave guidance about where to go and what to eat. They were responsive, spoke excellent English and the entire family were super kind and helpful. We had countless lessons in Sri Lankan cuisine and were given some wonderful meals, which has encouraged us to go on and start to learn about cooking Sri Lankan food for ourselves. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything you need for your stay. It is a 5 minute walk from the beach, which have a selection of restaurants and bars. There are small shops close by for essentials and a train and bus stop within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The nearby towns of Bentota and Aluthgama are easy to get to on the bus or train, they are busy and bustling. The family also own the adjacent hotel, which has a gorgeous pool and well equipped, air conditioned gym, which we had access to and used most days. We cannot recommend Villa Janaliya highly enough, we're already looking forward to returning. Thank you.

Amazing stay for our last day in Sri Lanka! The neighbourhood and garden are quiet and peaceful, but still walking distance from a beautiful beach, which is not busy. Comfy bed, hot shower, plentyful and very tasty breakfast. The hosts are so kind; they are really involved in making sure that you have a great stay. I liked the location which, for birding was excellent. It was also a little way from the main tourist centres but only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The accommodation itself was excellent with a lovely pool, nice little kitchen and a friendly cat! The caretaker host, Krishna, was impeccable, friendly and efficient. The bed was comfy and the ac sufficient.

The rooms are in a separate building with a private garden and porch, making it a super quiet place. Although the train tracks are somewhat close by, there is absolutely no noise from them. A few minutes of walking, and you’re on a beautiful and also really quiet beach. Super friendly hosts, clean facilities, and last but not least: a fabulous breakfast!

The property is beach front and has a very exclusive feel! There is a sun lounger on the beach for each apartment. The host was lovely and arranged laundry for us. The breakfast was really nice but we couldn’t eat it all!

Lovely family, so cute and friendly. The place is very calm and relaxed. Perfect to start or end your holiday there. Seafood restaurant bamboo (around 800m along the beach) also highly recommended!
